That is exactly my point - Ferrari will not allow their projects to be announced by anyone but Ferrari.
Umm. You don’t get it do you? He works for a supplier to the factory, and has access to inside information in the factory. He leaks out small details, trying not to say too much and jeopardize his job. Sure there are details that change, I’m sure it is a somewhat fluid environment there. However, when it comes to forthcoming predictions and information at the factory you have zero knowledgeable insight and he has complete credibility. Day355>>>>Cocoloco. Just be thankful he contributes anything here.
I don't work for a supplier. I am not the subject of this post, I do not place any ego here, I am present for sharing and passion. No matter what you believe or think I respect your opinion, that's all.
This image example (already presented by me) shows how historical inspiration can still lead to a simple and modern design: The F12 Berlinettas back skillfully incorporates elements of the 275 GTB. I think that with the new F167 something similar will happen with the design of the front. But here the relationship to the historical model will maybe be even closer. Personally, I hope that the source of inspiration at the front will be the 365 GTB/4 Daytona...
Of all the cars in the modern era ( post Enzo era) there is only one car for me that shows some obvious inspiration from the past - the F12 which reminds of the 275gtb and the F12tdf which is reminds of the 275gtb and 250gto. Those cars successfully managed to have their own personality, modern touch while preserving a clear and visible inspiration from some of Ferrari’s best models of the past. No other model imo managed that. Other than the F12/tdf the speciale reminds me of a baby Enzo ( looking from the rear) and is the best achieved mid engine design of all by far and the most timeless.
I dont know about the competizione but i myself had a SF no gpf , driven the GTS and found there was a huge difference in sound. I was even during the presentation of the gts in italy where i was invited concerned about the sound and that was one of the reason i did not order one at the time. Another collector / owner that i know who had both also said the sound was materially different between the GTS and 812 pre gpf. Judging by a few videos the sound of the comp is nowhere near as good as the tdf and 599gto.
I do love the tdf and F12. Perhaps someday I will try to acquire a tdf because it is a special car to me. That being said, I love the 812 and find it a delight to drive. Not being a real collector places a different emphasis for me. Same as not being a track star. I do plan to keep the 812 while planning to acquire the successor. The speculation about the 167 is fun and entertaining! We lament some changes and get excited about others - all being informed or uninformed speculations. (No need to be engage new posters that denigrate the whole premise of the thread- they have their own reasons for posting.) If the next v12 has more graceful curves and less angles as the Roma, that’s great! If it has the iPad, meh, but I can overlook that. The car will be a driver. If the Roma convertible is a soft top, I’ll probably be in line for that one too! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Agreed. However when do start talking about “ Vortex generators” and the “ Flux capacitor” again… like on all new projects….!? That was a blast. Surely Ferrari has those lying around somewhere since they didn’t use them on the 812C…!?
GTS & SF90 Spider incoming own plenty of Ferrari's and others Senna CGT 765LT Spider. First trip to Italy was Sian debut and soon for Ferrari debut. Interesting enough the past President of Lambo now works at Ferrari - very small world in limited exotics especially in Italy as Winkelmann returned. As far as being new that's just not true - city where I live part time received an F dealership and offered a few models. Attend events and talk to same people as others - no way in the world is ongoing insider info being published. If I ruffled a few feathers after 70 pages my apologies, but no one is sharing insider information and there are plenty that know. Read what Day just wrote - you have a problem it's your problem and assuming you know me is typical on a forum like this and why people who do know do not post - it's a quick way to the exit. Which I am doing in this thread - enjoy!
Listen, you put a coin back in the judebox and it's sad... your words are ridiculous, and when you don't know what you're talking about, it's best not to make assumptions...
Grazie 1000, ti invito a venire a parlare con me quando sarai a Maranello per la presentazione della PS
“needy lil thing” ??? Could you possibly be more arrogant and pompous? Get out of this thread, and stay out. We don’t want or need your useless conjectures and insulting attitude here. Congrats, we all now know what kind of person you are and your opinions are forever relegated to the FChat dust bin.
I love how some random troll comes out of hibernation with an axe to grind on one of the most liked and trusted contributors to the forum.
The tdf is a really special car to me as well the most special they did in recent times and it is a special car in my heart As a reminder of how special and emotional it is here’s a nice video have fun!
