SuperFast no question. If you miss the 488 you can move to a F8 in the future.

It depends what your looking for. Drive them both and compare. The V12 front engine cars drive quite different (not in a bad way) than the rear mid engine car. If your a straight line horse power and GT (Grand Touring) kind of guy, go for the 812. If you push your car in the canyons or are a track guy, the 458/488/F8 etc is your car. I am so glad I didn"t sell my 458 before driving an F12. My 2 cents, I hope this helps.

Yes I did keep the 458. I also drove a 458 Speciale the same day as the F12. I kick myself for not grabbing the Speciale as it was right around $400k at that time.
Again it’s all about what you like and what your expectations are.

I owned a SF and a 488s at the same time for about a year. Totally different animals.
If you love top down then yes you will miss the 488. However the engine in the 812 is like nothing else. It’s truly magical. The GT flavor of the 812 is nice for trips with the wife. The 488 for her was a little tight with less legroom. So we didn’t use it for trips. Sound… 812 = F1.
488 sounds good just doesn’t compare.
Love putting the rear window down in the 488 however. Driving style for 488 is aggressive up front go cart with road view framed by those front fenders vs more relaxed position in the 812 but also a great view over beautiful shaped hood with raised wheel arches.
    It’s a tough decision..
    Good luck

Have you had an opportunity to test drive the 812? really that would be your answer … what you feel as a driver would answer whether all your sensations are fulfilled ..
812 Is an interesting car … it’s definitely not for everyone, beyond the mighty v12 there are so many raw characteristics that make it a challenging car it’s like taming a wild horse…I enjoyed when I had the opportunity; it was out of my budget to make a deal on my 458 at the time ..
    Nevertheless I’d consider a 812 in a heartbeat..

As for the roof down problem…
    windows down cleaner sound :);)

    good luck,

Lol. Both are amazing. I’d love to add an 812 to my F8.

    I’m keeping my 488!

Took her out today for a blast and wow we fell more in love!

    Thanks for all your comments.

I can’t see what there is out there that can top the 488s?

Nothing will ever replace the experience of a 488 Spider ! 812 is a different animal . You will never feel that the 812 will compensate for the 488 Spider visceral experience . 3 years later , I still feel my heart flicker as I walk towards the knowledge of my 488 Spyder waiting for me at the end of a hard day at work . So my best advise , buy both if you can afford it pal !

I made the switch from a 458 Italia to a 812SF last year. I had the 458 for 4 years and I always aspired to have the V12 Ferrari as it is and always will be legendary. I can say without a doubt that was the best thing I did. I loved my 458 and tracked it as well. So, I definitely knew its potential and was impressed. But in the back of my mind, I always wanted the V12, what everyone talks about. The 812F I have also tracked and am very impressed with the drive. The 4ws really shrinks the car and gives it impressive capabilities on the track. Does it feel like a go-kart such as the 458? Not at all. But it's driving dynamics I learned after a few laps at the track and it blew me away. With 800bhp I cannot get over how it puts that power down to the rear wheels. It's nothing short of miraculous. The interior is laid out differently from the 458/488 and makes it feel more comfortable and luxurious. Then, the most glorious attribute is the engine. The 6.5 V12 is incredible. The force and response is mind-blowing. The sound is like nothing else in this planet. It sounds like a full symphony of trumpets at the opera house which is ready to sing with the right foot pedal. There is nothing that can replicate it. Nothing. The joy that motor gives me has allowed me to move on from the 458, not forget, but move on to dare I say better than I expected. The 812SF is an incredible machine.
