New Caddy EV? Looks really cool. However - until charging infrastructure for non Tesla EV’s gets better and more efficient/reliable I find it very hard to be convinced to have an EV as a daily driver. I would be very interested in your ownership experience!

Agreed. Until then, I’m on my 3rd Tesla. Next would be Taycan.

Had 5 teslas and on my second Taycan (2022 turbo S). To quote Joel from Risky Bussines: “Porsche, there is no substitute”. The network electrify America works well and now tesla is prepping to open the network to non tesla EVs (see attached)

I will say I’ll never go back to tesla. They are absolve junk of cars. Great tech and platform but terrible fit and finish, suspension, and brakes, road noise etc. I’d be interested in the Cadillac point of view after you get some miles on it.

Yeah I agree tesla are pretty reliable and I’ve only had one service issue in 10 years. My disappointment is really in how they drive, all the rattles, horrible road noise pour suspension, brakes and terrible fit and finish. Autopilot is good although supposed to be complete automated per musk over 5 years ago and still on a sketchy beta. Obviously they were game changers in the segment but will be left in the dust by big companies IMO. I mean are they ever going to release the roadster (a buddy paid 250k for one 3 years ago and still nothing) or that ugly truck. Lol. Model 3s/yard are like Honda civics around here.

Sweet. Good looking car. Mileage? Any mods?

We looked for a good example for some light offroading, but all the ones near us were high mileage hoopties, so we finally settled on a '17 4Runner.

It has 119K on it now. Just suspension, wheels/tires and stereo for now. I traded my G Wagon in for this and don't regret it one bit.

Nice. That's low mileage for an FJ. We upgraded the shocks on our 4R to Bilstein 5100s. Major improvement in ride...T

People seem to forget that Tesla is bigger than the other top ten auto manufacturers put together, as it relates to market cap. So, in a way, they are the big fish. They certainly have the resources and thousands waiting for their cars. This is indisputable.
