    Hi,
My application to join the Ferrari Tribute 1000 Miglia 2022 with my 2012 458 Italia got accepted. I got the rules for the event and would love to hear from those who have participated in the past.

Anybody here done the Mille Miglia before and have any tips or advice? Anybody going this year?

    Cheers,
    Brett

    Hi Brett.

This year will be my 7th time doing the event but in the vintage cars. Always a blast.

    Hi Craig,

    1. The rules say they put a GPS tracker in your car. Is it a tracker or GPS system? Can it be used to navigate the route or do I need a separate GPS system?

    2. Related to the above, how easy/hard is it to stay on course? I saw some YouTube videos of people getting lost and had great difficulty getting back on the course due to crowds, traffic.

    3. Are there recommended fuel stops? When/where do you refuel? Just pull over to any petrol station or ?

    4. Any recommended things to bring or not bring? Do or not do?

    Cheers,
    Brett

    Hi Brett

    1) you will need your own navigation system, their system just tracks you . However if you use the route book you shouldn't need gps
    2) I have found it easy to stay on course if you follow the route book, i find it easy if you cross out a box on the map once you complete it
    3) no recommended fuel stops but they do list them in the book and you can pull over at any station
    4) As your in a newer car not really , with the vintage cars we have to bring spare parts etc.

    Have fun

    Hi,

Me and my dad are interested in entering next year however we have never done a big trip like this before in our 360. I was just wondering if anyone who has done it before would recommend doing it or have any advice when it comes to the event.

    Thanks

    Jack

I would definitely recommend doing this! It's once in a lifetime. Filling out all the paperwork and getting your car there is a bit of a pain, but once that's done the event itself is incredible. There simply aren't (m)any places left on Earth where you can drive through amazing countryside, towns and cities, with blocked roads and police escorts along the way. Event organizers are amazing and all the hotels, meals, etc. are all taken care of. There is Ferrari mechanics on hand to help if needed, and they did an amazing job keeping all the earlier Ferraris running well throughout the race.

Definitely do it if you can!

Not sure if you fancy watching some youtuber but this guy did it in 360 this year and well it was not quite what he expected
