What year is your car? The early models had a rough, dull silver finish. The later model cars had what looks like a two stage, slightly darker, smooth silver finish. Premier (in L.A.) was the only shop I could find that knew the difference. They refinished my early model center console, came out fantastic and was a perfect match.
So this is mid disassembly. Is this the smooth or the rough dull silver? Thank you! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Maybe paint it the same color as the exterior of the car…..just a thought. I think this black looks great. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have seen that done and I think yours does look great. However, I am a purist and like to concours factory original so I'm sticking with silver. Good suggestion though.
Per your suggestion I called Premier Motor Sport in L.A. I spoke with Dave. He is the nicest, most helpful guy. First thing that ever made me wish I was in L.A. Anyway. Dave provided the following recipe for the later model 360 trim: 1) Sand smooth 2) Prime 3) Ferrari 101 Argento Silver Base 4) Matte Satin Clear Coat I feel pretty good about this recommendation. @SoftwareDrone Thanks so much for the referral!
