Hi all! On my second Lusso right now and really, really loving this beast of a machine. Have a few questions that I haven't been able to find answers to that I'm hoping you all have some insight to: 1. Is there a way to skip track from the steering wheel? Or is manually pressing the "Next" on the display the only way? 2. Can you turn off the hazards going on when braking hard? 3. Traffic and weather can be brutal in Los Angeles, should I be concerned about overheating? Never reached temperatures over 97F and that's quite far from "red". 4. During a drive from Malibu the other weekend a TPMS warning came on, saying that the system failed, then the AC stopped working. After a few minutes the problem corrected itself. Then this cycle happened two more times and I haven't seen the issue since. Battery related? Car is always on a tender when not being driven. Best, O Image Unavailable, Please Login
1. No. Perks of owning a Ferrari I guess. I would also appreciate it. 2. Yes. go the the setting screen while parked. You'll find the option. 3. No. Indeed in traffic and hot weather the temperature can go up to 97DegC. That's the max I have seen. But then the fans kick in and keep it controlled. And as you say it's still far from the red zone. 4. Rule of thumb is that if you have weird electrical gimmicks with a Ferrari, the battery is most probably the issue. I had to jump start my car after just a week in the airport parking lot. And I always keep it on tender when at home. So make sure the battery is fully charged, and wait for the christmas lights to turn off before starting the car. If that doesnt fix it then any dealership or specialized indy will be able to read the code, if any.
I have a 2019 Lusso with well over 25,000 miles. The track change is on the back of the steering wheel, right spoke, the ratcheting roller. It is obviously a daily driver here in NW Ohio, even in the winter, along with my Portofino, and I put Pirelli SottoZero's on them for the winter. Summer, I've never had overheating problems, never. My Portofino did a TPMS warning once, and I simply did a TPMS Calibration, via the setup menu, although I had to drive a couple miles, then it started to work and has not failed again. I just took delivery of a 812 GTS a month ago, already has 1,500 miles and now is my summer daily driver.
I’ve done 19000 miles in mine, in just over 2 years, and still haven’t worked out how to skip tracks! Will try advice above re roller. I have a full of thumb that warning lights in Italian cars can be ignored, but in German cars probably mean something is wrong…it’s worked well with Lusso, to the extent that I feel short changed if I make a trip without a warning light coming on! Brilliant cars all the same and, to my eyes at least, classier looking alternative to the f12/812s. Next question; is whether the Purosangue will justify the upgrade cost.
Bought the car with only 1800 miles on it and feel slightly guilty driving it often, but hearing about you all with 19k+ miles on puts a huge smile on my face! That's exactly how I'd like to drive this car.
Aha! Will check on this today. Very good to know. Will ask the service manager about this next time I go on for service (or that recall).
Not yet, but will try to recalibrate as RickLederman did on his Portofino. Haven't seen this issue for a couple of weeks though.
Not only the tpms failure light came on but now the check engine light is on too! My car is at the shop right now. I will let you know what they find.
