Hi All, Looking for a 456M GTA intending to be used as an almost daily driver. Silver, grey, blue, green almost any color that's not red / yellow / black. Higher miles ok as long as regularly serviced and maintained. Ideally recently serviced. Located in Seattle area and can fly to pick up car within a couple days drive radius, would be a fun drive. Further away will have to be shipped probably.
Just missed a decent deal on BaT: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1999-ferrari-456m-gta-4/ (not helpful, sorry)
I was also going to point out the BAT car. Thought that ended tomorrow (whoops). There’s a nice looking TDF blue on Facebook somewhere, I will see if I can find it later today.
I got bored. Here's the two I've seen recently including the dealer listing for the facebook car. Unfortunately, wrong coast for you. https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylisting/viewDetailsFilterViewInventoryListing.action?zip=00000#listing=332963923/NONE https://dreamridesautogallery.com/inventory/view/15768286/1999-FERRARI-456-MGTA
Thanks! In touch with the BaT seller on the off chance it falls through with the auction winner. The car does have a replacement engine from Europe.
A black/cream M GTA just came up in LA. I know black is not on your list but the car is perfect. A Ferrari Independent owns it (R & S Auto on Washington Street) here in LA, so it is mechanically sound, passed CARB, Ferrari Independent shop owner maintains it, etc… It has about 30k on it, he is asking $85k.
This Grigo Ingrid just listed on BaT. I’d want to see a lot of info about the provenance and service history. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2000-ferrari-456-m-gta-9/
Thanks Rob, same here on the service history. Also looks like you test drove it last year when it was at another dealership. Your impressions on it are super helpful.
A Verde Silverstone GTA (non-M) went on BAT recently. Really an A+ color combo, so should bring top dollar despite that the ad and seller seem like total amateur hour. It’s in Canada though. Wouldn’t be surprised to see it hit 70’s, wouldn’t be surprised if there’s too many open questions it doesn’t break out of the 50’s. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1997-ferrari-456-gta-6/
I agree with @yudkib - a beautiful car in a classic combination, but seems to be sub optimally presented. The blurry photos don't do the car any justice. With these cars you tend to 'buy the seller', so a knowledgeable seller with documented provenance and a willingness to engage with prospective buyers would really help the sale here. Anyone who follows the 911 GT3 market would remember the "Gold Level Joe" sale on BaT a few weeks ago. Great for popcorn, but a train-wreck of a sale.
Me three, at least wipe the brake dust off of the wheels. That car is in nice shape. The interior looks fantastic, as does the exterior but there appears to be a small oil “weep” someplace. Not the end of the world, I myself have one (valve cover) and I am sure any buyer would promptly do a proper major and call it a day anyway. Could be interesting but the presentation really makes it look low budget.
There's been a few on Bring A Trailer in the last couple of months. Other good places to look especially from private sellers?
I talked to a local owner a couple of weeks ago that is planning to sell his 456M GTA. It’s white and the owner s very meticulous with his maintenance. The car is in the Ft. Worth, TX area. Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll get in touch with him.
