I thought it would be useful to have a thread for SF owners to share any "issues" they are having and possible solutions. My SF is going back to the dealer to fix an intermittent "Low Beam Failure" message plus to look at why the phone continually disconnects (both blue tooth and when connected with a cable)
When you say your phone disconnects are you talking about CarPlay or normal audio streaming to the HMI?
If I am using Waze on my iPhone plugged into my SF or Spotify, it drops out randomly, I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work again
Has anyone encountered this electrical system failure issue? This will be the third the car has to be towed to the dealership. The car basically goes into turtle mode after leaving it sitting (plugged in) for more than 4 days. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I, too, have issues with Bluetooth disconnecting while streaming (mainly Spotify) with my iPhone 12. Car has been in twice and still has this problem. No Apple CarPlay. I don’t have the same problems with either my F8 or Portofino M.
yes if I swap the phone, still does the same and my phone has never done this in my G63, works without dropping the connection in that. My SF going into te dealer on Friday for the light fault and they will check phone problem also
not seen this with mine "yet" , hopefully its not a common problem and they can fix your easily, I have left mine plugged in for a week and it has no issues
I know this might seem really rudimentary, but have you tried a different cable? Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Yes tried a different phone, different cable and blue tooth, always does the same, intermittent disconnections
I went into the dealer yesterday and met with my service advisor and a rep from Ferrari. They're going to provide a software update to patch an issue with the high voltage battery not charging the 12V battery.
Mine has now gone back in to the dealer to fix the light and telephone issue, will post once I have a conclusion
Hello, Unfortunately, I must add my issue here as well. I got the car yesterday, no issues and on the way back home ADAS error. It first started with predictive brake system off and then adaptive cruise control error when turned on.... I know lot of of these error messages are software based, but is there some way how to reset the error(system) and see whether it pops up again? Thank you Tibor Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Continue to deal with connectivity issues with my iPhone. Yesterday, for the first time, I lost not only the Bluetooth connection while connected to Spotify, both displays on either side of the tach, as well as, the passenger display went black twice. Each time, they came back on after a couple minutes.
Over time, I'm afraid you'll be spending most of your time at the repair shop...and in 2 years this thread will be 100 pages. But , you chose it I'm going to buy some popcorn
The black screens are not only connected to Sf90, roma does that as well. I think this is still more a software issues, rather than hardware and most of the problems can be solved by future updates. But still, not good for 450k euros cars.... The phone connection issues were pretty much always part of Ferrari, I remember driving F8 with previous gen system and there were also bluetooth and carplay drops... What is strange to see, it usually happens when you suddenly change the style of driving, like when the system voltage changes.... (or at least my case) BTW I had also carplay drop today in my SF90 and the car was delivered last month.... I am must take the car to the dealer because of ADAS error anyway, so I will ask about some possible bluetooth update as well.... T Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Have this phone disconecting issue as well, but i just dont care that much anymore. Dealer could not realy fix it, suddenly it disconnects?? Of course you can argue that on that price range it should bot happend, but somehow i get used to it my Mclarens have also some issue unsolved
Perhaps these are in part the reason SF90 is slowing down production. Not sure why anyone who doesn't own or ordered one would post here - but you are who you are.
At the end of the day problems or not, one still gets to drive their SF90 and what an incredible experience that is. These are man made machines not made by pure divine creatures, every single make and model out there have their share of issues.
True. Some factories are struggling years later to put like multi million dollar cars in customers hands. SF90 AF Spider complex - a bit longer to get it right / update, is a lot different from other factories who are trying and failing with massive running costs. What is odd - 296 deliveries are much quicker.
I have the agree with this , my issues are mostly irritations , they don’t diminish my joy of owing and driving this great car . This thread is helpful as between us we can help each other show the dealer that there are common problems that should be fixed . Once I get mine back I will let you all know what they found
My IPOD bluetooth constantly locked up where you couldnt reset unless you shut the car off - dealer could never fix
Went to the dealer last week for regular maintenance and mentioned the CarPlay disconnection issue. They told me that they updated the firmware for the radio module from 96.09.02 to 96.13.02 and it should do the trick. Fingers crossed!
I have a friend whose new SF90 turtled more than once. Dealer (FNA) picked it up twice and after second incident declared that it could not determine the cause. Owner decided to punt before the car had anymore service history for CarFax and the dealer is refunding the PP. Sad that these cars are so techno driven that they are unreliable and unfixable.
