No pipe dream BS, only the cars I've owned.

The one car I'd keep forever is a tossup but to "just keep" would be my 812 SF.

The one car I'd "drive forever," by a hair would be my '05 Vanquish S.

It was my daily for a while- 40 mile commute each way. It was comfortable (a true gentleman's V12 GT), had a great stereo, that unmistakeable Aston leather smell and the best exhaust note of any car I've ever owned. I had the valves pinned open from delivery just to hear it through all the revs. Yeah, the organ-like harmonics of the 812 induction are simply angelic, but that guttural cat like growl of my Vanquish has never been matched.

Another vote for the 812. It’s just about perfect. Spacious enough for a big dude like me. Comfortable to drive, but capable of mind-bending performance when called upon. Absurd power. Beautiful pre-GPF NA V12 music sung by angels. A price point that is approachable by mere mortals.

I would not take this deal as presented. Must have a pickup too. So as close as I could get would be an F50 and an F-150 Raptor.

Already have a Raptor and a Futura trailer... and a 55' garage. :)

To (have) as in the garage forever or drive forever? You wouldn't want to drive an F40 everyday, would you? They are not...comfortable

    I looked at Futuras.
Awesome , clever concept and amazing approach angles for any low ground clearance sports car or even formula car .
I’ve found an American made rip-off by a huge dependable manufacturer in the Timpte 718 or 720. One may follow me home when going back to Texas .

The answer to the question will depend on certain criteria :
Is this to be a add on to a daily ?
If someone else pays for maint then the F1. Slam dunk no brainer.
Or if I have to pay the F40 and step up to the $ plate for that one .

If as a daily too then a manual 599 or a manual Porsche GT2RS. I have a 996GT2 but the ride firmness gets old fast .
Runner up is a Gen 1 NSX. Add a Comptech supercharger , exhaust and wheels . Leave it alone after that .

actually, despite my footnote about blue Ferraris, I acquired this 365GTC speciale in June 1978 when she was her factory original argento/nero. Had her refinished in this gorgeous bordeaux/cuoio in the 1990's. The blu does apply to my present Cadillac CTS (metallic blue/beige), my old Maserati Spyder (blu nettuno/cuoio), old F355 (blu micalizzato/beige) and present 575M Maranello (blu TdF/cuoio)..

I was very fortunate to get the Futura trailer. At the time, it was the only Supercar model in the US, and it was in Denver!

It's all aluminum and weighs just under a thousand pounds. With my 360 it's about 4,200 pounds. SuperCab Raptor can tow only 6K pounds.

I traded the Race Red 2018 base model for a black 2020 that was loaded with all options when Ford announced no more SuperCabs.

It's so lux that I think Ford should brand it as a Lincoln! :)

There’s no way in hell my only forever isn’t 3 pedals. That I know with 100% certainty. I feel it’s a learned connection with the car. As familiarity grows, the bond grows.

Preferably a Ferrari and preferably NA as I love unfiltered mechanical engine noise. Some power would be nice. She needs to be easy on the eyes as well.

I believe I already have my forever car. Two of them just in case.

Assume you would have a vehicle for blizzard commutes, Home Depot, etc. What would be your one toy/fun car that you'd be content to never go car shopping again?

Yes, an F40 or Porsche 550 Spyder would be ridiculous for grocery runs, but if I had one I would consider it the top of the mountain as far as sporting cars go. I would give up my Porsche 911/964 for a 550 Spyder, but I don't know that I'd ever want an "upgrade". Similarly an F40. I don't know of any Ferraris that would tempt me away from it.

Sorry but I think we should keep pictures of these weird American lunk things off a forum devoted to a maker of beautiful Italian sports cars. Huge pickups may be cool but this is Fchat and Ferrari doesn't make huge sinister pickups.

These have no resonance to people in much of the world and specifically in Europe, most particularly in Maranello. A Tesla is more relevant. I am sure there is a huge pickups forum. And I am sure they are great cars for everyday use in their circumstances but that is not the point.

A 550 Spyder is top of the tree for Porsches. For Ferraris..812 SF is hard to beat, if it had been a special edition it would be worth millions. I love the F40 but just a bit intimidating for everyday, and a turbo. Is a 275 GTS too impractical? It's such a good question you posed..
