Paua fritters !!! Abalone for us civilised people , not good sliced up and cooked, but made into fritters from a meat grinder makes them very tasty I use to get 10 legal Abalone in the little bay next to the Kiama blowhole and cook enough fritters to feed 6 people My BIL was the local fishing inspector so we had to do it right, you just need to look out for the massive stingrays that cruise the bay ...... and the odd white pointer !!!!
Are you still getting rolled into the ocean by the "save the whale" people ? It's why I don't go to the beach
That sounds great, I had them the traditional way if you will and found them a bit chewy, not bad tasting but as you’ve suggested there are better ways to eat them .
I don't like abalone cooked on it's own as you say but if you put them into a meat mincer with some onion, bread and some garlic , then fry in a pan of virgin olive oil they taste brilliant
So similar to an oyster or choko, tasteless rubbish until you bastardise it into something it's never been.
What are you talking about - oysters should be eaten straight out of the shell - only cretins bastardise oysters with bacon and sauce!
Looking forward on the trip to some fried scampi ,such a nice meal . Oysters if they were a dollar a dozen ,would you eat them? perhaps not.!
If Red Rooster Hawaiian pack was $1 for two would the SC and GC fans buy and eat it ? Just asking ! Would the SC surf clubs sell it still? Or would the SC/GC lot turn to KFC?
Typical response from a middle aged/ class white privledged blonde . deal with it .who drives a Datto.Just saying .
