Yes it is, IMO it looks to much like a Fiat Barchetta, especially the headlights! and for the wheels! The CS though, once again, its amazing what little tweaks can do to improve the looks, different bumper, skirts wheels, stance etc, that looks good!

I am not sure if it was the looks alone that made the 360 a sales success, more about Ferrari moving on with performance that could keep up, build quality and reliability!

Given some of the developing problems with the 488, the 430+458 might be the ones to stick with.
Cam cover oil leaks on 488 need the engine to be removed to change a couple of gaskets, over £7000
Reports of turbo failures at low miles etc, i would keep clear

    From the BAT ad.

"The seller notes a tear in the soft top and additional blemishes on the body, some of which have been touched up."
"the right-rear wheel has curb marks."
"the seller reports that the engine lid is intermittently unable to be opened with the convertible top down."
"There is currently a lien on the car, and the seller’s lender will need to be paid before the title can be transferred to the next owner."
"history in Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Arizona, Indiana, and Wisconsin.

Seven owners and not a car without flaws and problems.
    @ $77K sounds about right.

Well kept, well maintained 360s are going to go up in value. They are IMO incredibly under priced right now. I used to say the same of the 911's in the early 2000s, not anymore.

I've lived through a number of recessions, small and large, and the one thing I can say they all have in common is that I increased my wealth during these times of stress. A recession isn't a bad thing. It's an opportunity for those with means to get more for less.

I look forward to the next recession as a money making opportunity that presents itself rarely.

Interesting given the 430 is essentially a half effort design from Ferrari which used a lot of design elements of the 360. No one back then would have really known if the 360 would have been that much better than a 355 from a reliability standpoint. The 430 has no individuality compared to the 360 unlike the 360 to the 355 had. The next Ferrari to stand out with its own design presence is the 458. The interior in the 430 is no master piece compared to the 360 either. People who act like it’s a huge difference are lying to themselves to justify the price they paid when they could have spent less with the same result.

^^^this absolutely. I know, I know-- no belts and more HP, but 'cmon, let's keep it 100. Truth be told.

Most guys I know looking for a 360 will take a 430 and they really don't see a difference in which one they will get. Price, color, and options are their only perimeters.

It just depends on your personality, I have a bit of OCD so the F430 is a car I could never do... there are so many clashing design elements of the curvy retained 360 bits with the hard angles of the new bits.

Especially the headlights, which were narrowed to match the Enzo design language, which had to be thin to accommodate the hood scoops, which the F430 doesn't have, so its headlights are offset in their space and look completely out of place.

And the F430 interior looks to me like a child designed it.

Exactly, the consumer who shops between a 360 & 430 and ends up with a 430 I would assume they feel it’s newer and superior. The price gap between the two is about 35k which isn’t mind blowing compared to a 430 to 458. I love both don’t get me wrong but am I getting that much more for 35k? The truth is no… The increase in horsepower is the only big advantage I see but most of us leave the car in the garage and HP wasn’t our main focus when buying a Ferrari.

For those on the 360 / 430 border, wonder how much prospective maintenance comes into play as a buying decision.

Well Look, let me put it this way, I bought an F430, I would not buy a 360. To me an F430 looks considerably better, Its just my opinion and its irrelevant what you are trying to justify to me, I am not a fan of the 360 for what I have already mentioned!

I’m not trying to convince you to change your mind. I’m just pointing out some similarities and realities I’m sure others face when cross shopping the two cars. You stated the 360 is ugly in your opinion which is fine. I would never call the 430 ugly or a 360.

Fiat's are OK, not many are butt-ugly. The older ones are also fun and inexpensive runabouts that have some charm...................OK, maybe they are the ugly puppy only a mother could love!

to add... if it's the HP boost of the 430 that colors your decision, then you better be both a real careful and cautious driver on public roads. I've had my "under-powered" 911 on the track and I can still get into trouble pushing the car. I can tell you (as many here already know) the HP of the 360 on public roads is more than enough to get you into trouble-- both with the body shop and the law.

Of course if it's about cosmetics, I get that.
If it's about the HP, then to me, it's only bragging rights at the local Cars and Coffee.
The extra thousands for a warmed over version of the subtle beauty of a curvy 360 is not worth it to me. Just my .02

We originally started shopping 360’s until doing a side by side comp of each at the dealership. Both are great, the 430 just seemed more modern in our eyes. The increased snappiness of the better F1 and extra HP was immediately apparent as well. I like the 360 exhaust note better though.
