Maybe if you read my posts correctly, you would've seen it was never about who was right or wrong. Maybe my expectations are too high, because even my kids behavior better lol. We clearly both love Ferrari. I couldn't care less if you know someone that knows more about a new Ferrari than someone I do. It's like I've met the King of England so freaking what. I actual like some mystery in the build up and surprised when the new model launches. Sort like Xmas if you already know what your getting it takes a lot of the excitement away. Anyway enough is a enough ! can we just move on now and enjoy the new model and those to come?

I really didn't expect to like this. Now that I've seen the pictures...wow. I actually really like this car.

That said I do stand by my original point that a sports SUV (cayenne, urus, purusanque etc) are a little pointless. If you want something fast and practical, build an estate, or like Ferrari did, a shooting brake (FF/Lusso).

I can see these become very, very popular...

Eh no Dear Simon, enough is not yet enough

So yes I have to tell you something to your face my friend cause you are really bothering and you continue to insult people here. We are all happy for you if your kids behavior is better.
The point is that you said that I was not respectful cause I told to someone that he was not well informed and you repeated it in several posts and finally you told me that I am not a gentlemen but a child. You pretend to teach people how to behave…..so funny.
first you judge people without knowing them. not nice! nobody here cares if I am a gentlemen or a child, except the ones who know me in person.
second I repeat again. probably my english is not so good but whoever he is there is nothing wrong to tell to somebody that is not well informed or wrong specially if the subject is a statement and not an opinion.
He mentioned a fact not an opinion but unlikely for him his statement was not wrong but totally wrong. Go and read again his post. A lot of people here knew the name since weeks but they never unveiled it as respect to the others work.
I guess it’s a lack of respect to give fake info specially if you are a well know person in F world because people tend to trust, to follow. Even Ferrari, as a company, dislikes this behavior.

Please don’t have any expectations from us, we are a group of big bad kids when we are are talking about our passion.
Yes now it’s the time to enjoy the Purosangue, an amazing machine IMHO

To those suggesting this is a Stellantis product, what nonsense. Design is in-house by Manzoni. Architecture is in-house and based on their new platform. It’s been a long time since they really had much influence from FIAT (who later joined forces with Chrysler and are both now effectively owned by Stellantis). There may be certain components still shared but few, and not supplied by either FIAT or Stellantis but by international component suppliers who also supply BMW and others. It’s just the way the motor industry works. Engine, new suspension, rear door mechanism etc. Never seen anything remotely similar on any Stellantis product and will have been specified in-house at Ferrari, many components made by various suppliers familiar to all brands. As for the Mazda, many years ago someone said I reminded them of John Travolta, but if you met me would you think I look anything like him? No! Stand the Purosangue next to any of those cars and there are big differences. It’s a brilliant and beautifully resolved design. It doesn’t fall into the trap the first Cayenne did - try and use 911 design language and make an SUV, instead it treads its own path. Still recognisably a Ferrari but not trying to look like F8, SF90, 812 or even Lusso. The front clamshell, rear flared haunches (necessitating the rear door arrangement so you can actually get in the thing) and clever proportioning so that it looks much smaller than it is (and it is rather large, let’s face it) effectively hiding its bulk, it’s a truly exceptional design whether you like SUVs or not.

I don' t like such kind of cars, but I have to say that among that kind of cars this new Ferrari doesn't looks bad at all: much beter looking than a Cayenne, a Bentayga, a Cullinan and so on.

And the waiting list is close to reach the moon.

    Ciao

Nothing Ferrari does can make Porsche shake in its boots, especially in this segment. They are not even remotely competing with each other except at the Roma range of things. Porsche sells 80k+ Cayennes and 80k+ Macans annually. Ferrari will probably produce 1500-2000 Purosangue next year. That is 1% of Porsches' SUV sales. I am pretty sure that Aston and Lamborghini are breathing a huge sigh of relief due to pricing because this is a less practical but more desirable vehicle than either brands offering. To be honest the best way to think of Purosangue is a Lusso+. A bit more space, a bit more presence, a bit more edginess to design, a bit better on driving dynamics and a bit more in price with the goal of selling 20-30% more vehicles with a bit more demand so that they don't have to armtwist people into buying one to get a more desirable model which would of course tank values on resale.

I have been apart of Ferrari Chat along time, I can count on one hand the issues I have had here over those 16 odd years. That speaks highly for all of us here and the platform. We are both clearly very passionate individuals and both Italians and Kiwis are know as a very passionate people.
The last Americas Cup highlights that. I guess we both read into to things a little differently etc. I feel "not respectful" and you Feel "insulting" from each others comments. In fact we are both correct from our own points of view, because how we see thing and feel about things is important to us, as it should be. We also just need to be mindful of how others see us and I will take on board your comments on how what I have said has come across to you.
Anyway here's to getting along and enjoying one of our passion.

I totally agree the Purosangue is very impressive, Its great to see how far back they were able to get that V12 as that placement will make such a difference.

I do have a question I am dying to know the answer to. Is the New Halo model V6, V8 or V12 ?
I totally understand if you cannot or don't want to.

    Kind Regards Simon

This might just be me, and if so I am fine with that, but is it not a bit Aston Martin DBX in the rear?

I believe it was said during an investor meeting that the new Halo will be V8. V12 will be for PS and icona.

I saw the diagram but was unsure if it was placed at the top as it was the flag ship (Halo) or if it really was following the V8 line. So thank you for confirming.

Must be Dino Purosangue, not Ferrari Purosangue.

Actually the car is far better looking in the flesh than on pictures (I was there at the press presentation).
    Looks slender and lower.

Thing is, with the Full Fat Range Rover you can go anywhere - when not in the workshop:p- the Purosangue is frankly a jacked-up 4-door Lusso, not even close to a proper offroader.
