Once i figure out a reliable adapter solution to the fuel rail where the FPR mounts, I'm tearing all of the oem stuff out and putting this behind me.

Save your life, f the car. I don't carry a fire extinguisher just for that reason. If my car catches fire I want to get as far from it as possible ASAP. Leave the fire for the pros. When you open up the rear deck to get to the fire you have no idea what will happen. And even with limited fire damage insurance will likely total it.

Of course getting away from the fire is safest, but it's not always possible to extract a person quickly from a burning car, so carrying an extinguisher is always a good idea.

Wow Tarek! Crazy experience. Glad you are Ok. Sorry about the car and seats!! What a story. Video is brutal. Time to hunt again…..

These cars do have a propensity to flame up. Many different reasons. But in the end, inspect, don’t drive if you have any inclination of a fuel smell. Power steering cap is also an area of concern. C’est la vie [emoji20]

That definitely a very scary thing to happen., I am glad nobody was hurt, sad to see a Ferrari burn to the ground, that is never easy to watch.
Car fires are terrifying, I have seen a few race cars burn to the ground, wit nobody hurt thankfully....its scary!!

I think a fire extinguisher is not a bad idea just for personal protection to exit the car, but for sure, you are not even going to get close to a fire that big to put it out, the safest thing to do is get away from it in my opinion, leave it to the pros....

Glad you guys did not panic and got out OK.
I see too many car fires where people freak out and run into traffic then get hit by a car.

It's a fairly well know item. I've had mine for 8 years and all fuel lines have been replaced.

    Glad you were not hurt.
Did the owner keep a log of the services performed on the car? If so is anything said about fuel pump issues, or replacement?
I had the fuel pumps in my 360 leak, a year apart. Fortunately I was able to pull into the same shop, have them find a leaky fuel pump and fix it.
When doing yearly maintenance, have them check the fuel pumps, and all fuel lines.

You Tube has a number of videos like this one.

This video does remind my to get that fire extinguisher I keep putting off buying.

Wow, glad you’re both safe. What a way to end what looked like a perfect day.

Stark reminder to not ignore those smells. Though with carb cars …
