Just had my F12 tuned with Mase. I'm running gutted downpipes, Kline Xpipes, and factory silences with BMC filters. Also, installed Forza valve controller. I ran it for about 100 miles without the tune and got a code for fuel being too lean and a couple of others for not having cats. I was expecting it considering what I have installed. Cleared the codes with my launch tool. The extra hp wasn't really the main reason I got the tune (taking out the cat and improving the flow and not causing the bottleneck with the cat is the biggest hp gain in our NA cars) but it was to have the motor run the correct fuel and air ratio on my 92 octane gas. In turn, this gains you more hp and makes the car run more smoothly and respond more efficiently throughout the power range. The downshifts are more aggressive, quicker, and sure. The car is a monster...... it runs and sounds terrific! I also have the Mase tune on my F430 and it's a beast! Steve Mason knows what he is doing!!!
VBOXTools.com I swear the one time I actually need you....site is down. I'll get the numbers off the site in the morning but I figured I'd give some real world numbers on stock vs the mase tune. Just installed it on my F12. Exhaust is inbound but not on car so this is comparing stock to stock with just software. I'll VBOX it again once it's done. I had to get the horrible VBOX software and try to play with it to try and extract the data I need. In short, it's good for about 0.2 seconds on the 60-130. Stock was 8.0 60-130. Tuned 7.8 60-130. I did NOT use power start I just slow rolled into first gear to try to maximize grip and used the same launch technique. Once the car grabbed I quickly clicked "auto" to let the car do all the shifting. The findings are as follows. Stock // Mase Tune 60' 2.08 // 2.00 330' 5.17 // 4.99 1/8th: 7.63 @ 100.47 MPH // 7.44 @ 103.05 MPH 1000' 9.72 // 9.51 1/4mi: 11.48 @ 127.95 MPH // 11.25 @ 130.40 MPH Definitely got some more MPH out of the car with the tune. I'll update it with more telemetry data once the website goes online but figured I'd bump this thread with actual data.
It's late, I may have made a typo in translating it over but here's the actual numbers from VBOX tools extrapolating the data. I tried to put it in notepad and easy to view and compare. Here's stock vs mase tune no hardware changes to car just software. Image Unavailable, Please Login
