I considered this, but I’m not sure I like it in reality.

Thanks for the actual example. I think it brings a modern and updated feel to the design without stepping too far from the damn near perfect looking car. I might try it out with a dip spray to be sure I love it. My wheels are not perfect, and I like going the opposite direction of the black wheel trend.

You should do what you like, and I don’t think it will look bad, but “modern”? I disagree. I think it will look even more 80s/90s. White wheels are definitely not modern.

When you do it, post pics!

I would have been partial to black rims about 5-10 years ago, but I think that look is peaking. It would look aggressive.
I'll post a pic of the white when I get to it. So retro that it looks future. Cheers Image Unavailable, Please Login

Nothing you’re gonna do to the stock wheels will make the car more modern looking imo.

You know what I would do - I know you didn’t ask, but I’ve been ruminating on this - I would have the stock wheels stripped of their paint. Then brushed. Then clear coated. They would still read as silver, but with a more modern (natural) take.

I will stick with OEM here or will just simply change wheels.

Unfortunately my oem wheels have a spider cracking on the finish that I just don't think can be polished away. I also have seen very few wheels that look better on the 348 imo. There was a good comment on spraying them back to silver. Dipping the wheel white so I can remove it after a year or two seems like the best compromise.

I personally think the white looks pretty great. Your car, do what you like.
I go back and forth on black or white. White looks more race car / challenge, and all black just kind of makes them go away and puts the focus on the car. I'm also not a fan of chrome or silver wheels pretty much ever, but my opinion isn't much so take it or leave it.

Of the above photos, I best like the OEM 348 wheels in white.
But only where the lower sills/rocker panels are painted red.

The 360 starfish in white doesn't have the same effect.
Partly due to less surface area of the spokes. Less striking, more subtle.
But I'd think it would look better without the black sills.
