I'm with you. It ain't funny but you must be drunk....what's that whitish thing in the middleish,it looks like a bull pizzle.
Just name one will be fine. It was ages ago and you posted the same link to the clinic - still NOWHERE on that document does it say ONLY for indigenous.
I often wonder how much welfare or help the so called DO Gooders do , I suggest.........................FO for the FNQ,NT Aboriginal towns .example the Thorpe woman ..
I was applying for a job at the time , 1973 Papster would know if it's changed but I thought it was blatant discrimination at the time !!!
Port Stephens 1992, my dad watched the govt of the day build a medium sized rural business on the way into Port Stephens. Got it up and running , nice viable commercial business Got some indigenous people to work side by side with the people who got it up and running, showed them the ropes , left when they were sure the indigenous people could handle it Ran it into the ground in under a year
On the subject of rural health care and the indigenous community. When we lived in Alice Springs our son was diagnosed with some severe learning difficulties when he was 4, to the extent they thought he would be very delayed in commencing any form of schooling or have a fully functioning life. Like anyone we came straight to Brisbane and did the rounds of the very best specialists, each recommending programs for him. Problem was each was a 6 to 12 month wait to get a spot - too bloody long! Back on the phone to our Dr in Alice and back on the plane. The following Monday we were in a group meeting and the following day our son started his programs. This group reviewed his progress each Monday and any changes happened the next day. HOW: we were given access to Aboriginal health services and specialists that were sitting idle because the black fellas didn't use them. We have never been so grateful, our son was able to meet all the educational goals set for him and now leads a very successful life. I do get upset when people from the cities decry the lack of services for the indigenous communities- it's there, they just don't use it. In fact, in many cases they are better resoursed than the white community.

I'm very glad for your son's good outcome, but you've just proved my point that these services are NOT exclusively for Indigenous people. And yes, the reluctance to use services is very sad.
I'll say it again how many of these city dwellers , travel to FNQ/NT and help these poor souls? or even donate to a cause that DOES help them ,far too many go on about rights and invasion without looking into the issues or the industry the city dwellers have turned it into .....at the expense of those needing care and help for so many health and living issues .....I'm over wokes and middle class -middle aged people and there concerns without helping!
I can't find any MIM policies to confirm / deny. You also forget they gave your (non indigenous) son a job a while back, so there's hardly a blanket ban on whites (or Morettis). Here's some history BTW: https://www.qld.gov.au/firstnations/cultural-awareness-heritage-arts/community-histories/community-histories-m/community-histories-mount-isa 1973 was only 6 years after Aboriginal people in the area were released from 'government protection' .
Who said anything about a blanket ban on whites ??!! It was a policy that if 2 people applied, one aboriginal and one white, for the SAME job the aboriginal was given the job, but in 1973 the recruitment drive for MIM was so huge there was never going to be a situation like that so , being an American company at the time, they used this policy to make them look good, it was a token gesture but still good none-the-less. BTW I was living in a 16' caravan for the time I worked in the mines while the aboriginals were given free brand new houses which were abused, I saw this every time I went for a run for football training so I know it's not an urban myth some people claim
Its worth spending time reading about cattle stations and the employment of Aboriginals pre and post December 1968....You just need to find the correct history and not some recent "woke" article ! Its such a complex issue the employment ....under 50% of Aboriginals work? Compared to what 75% of the rest? And they DO go walk about ...its the culture and I'm not here to be critical of that ,its fact. The above was the reason so many VFL Football clubs would not contract them as footballers , sad as there skill is without question ..
