    When I bought my Dino in 1993, it was very original condition and comes with a string sealed with lead(?) wrapped around the steering column. The string has steel wire inside and the seal stamped `DOG. N6 1(I?)0(O?)`(its difficult to read) . Does anyone knows the detail (meaning) of this seal?

    DOG, are the three first letters of ‘Dogana’ which in italian means ‘Customs”.
    Matthias is most likely correct.
    Funny, as Italian authorities were not particularly mechanically inclined,
    as the removal of the string and seal was rather a simple affair.

    On the Dino I have that was originally delivered to Belgium it also has a tag fastened with wire that reads Douane. In looking it up the word means "customs". This car is fairly original so I don't think it would of been added recently.
