Who have not been involved for quite some time but thats no reason I guess to stop being rude.

 

And prohibition worked so well. I agree, as big a train wreck as gun control.
Prohibition only served to venture capitalize organized crime. It achieved that quite well. Talk about unintended consequences. We still suffer from it.

Guns make people equal. True story, happened about 2 or 3 miles up the road. I live in a semi rural area and the Sheriff can be a long way away.

Woman and her 2 kids home alone, husband off at friends for Monday night football. Car pulls into driveway. Not a car known to her. She hears sounds in a minute or two of someone breaking into garage. She calls 911, our emergency number. While on phone daughter calls Dad. Hes too far away to help so he is limited to hearing whatever happens and keeping daughter calm. Imagine his emotions? Mom still on phone talking to woman at other end. Man succeeds in breaking into garage and starts pounding on door into house. Mom gets Dads gun she has been trained to use and alternately talking to woman on phone and yelling at guy in garage "Do not come in, I have a gun" over and over while he is breaking door to house. Kids are huddled in corner scared for their lives.
Guy breaks in door finally and woman on phone hears a gun shot. Mom tells operator she shot him, hes on the floor not moving and with the kids goes outside and waits the next ten minutes for the Sheriff to arrive.


Turns out the guy was crazy, a large adult and had taken a car and just wound up at this house.
Mom shot him in the gut with a 44 magnum and put him down.

What would your wife do? Threaten a guy 6 inches taller and 60 lbs heavier with a spatula? Samual Colt called his early revolvers "Equalizers". Mom was equal that night by virtue of that 44 magnum and the ability to use it. She and her children are still alive because her husband cared enough about them to be sure she could do what nature intended for her to do, protect her children.

 

Tones change. I am not responsible for theirs. You are responsible for yours. Are you incapable of change?

 

Are you 12 years old? Have you ever had a civil word for others in your entire life?

Guy was driving past the house and noticed the garage was on fire, stops to go put it out, can't get into garage, bangs loudly on the door, woman yells I've got a gun, guy is still banging to get keys to garage, finally breaks open the door, she shoots him, the garage immoliates the garage, house and people .... boohoo

It can happen either way, some good Samaritans have been killed trying to help

So again. No information. He was arrested. Great. An arrest in this country does not equate guilt. People are shot all the time. In a surprising number of cases they deserve it. To base anything on a partially told news story, well lets just say the black lives matter people riot based on that sort of thing all the time.
