    Hachette 1/24th Matra MS80 1969 champion. I have the FPPM model kit and this is just as nice. With a few added touches it will be a great model.

    Yesterday I visited the Autoworld museum in Brussels and saw two very nice 1/24 Ferrari models in their shop, a 308 and a BB. They had a non-descript packaging consisting of just a jewel case. On the bottom there was only a price tag with the name Bburago on it.
    I found out that these models were actually made by Edicola. They seem to be no longer available. They also make models in other scales as well as other marques. Overall the impression was very good.

    Edit: just found a picture of more than just the 308 and 512.

    HERE is the complete list of cars in this collection.

    It is called Le Grandi Ferrari.
    I believe most of them (or even all of them) were made by Bburago, but without their branding.
    So they are in usual Bburago quality, with only few exceptions (i.e. GTO was improved and more detailed compared to old GTO casting by Bburago)

    Hachette 1/24th MP4/14 1999 champion. First time in 1/24th scale. These models are mounted with the wheels in the air and a plastic harness to hold the models still for shipping. The harness is removed in these pictures but the model is still in the air on the base. That is why some wheels look off camber. If you buy these models and you will be very happy. Technically they are better than most of the 1/18th diecasts I have seen and much more accurate than anything Tecnomodel has put out in 1/18th scale. Hachette is also a plastic kit maker and these diecasts are as good as the Bell kits they also make, but curbside only. Although they do have alot of hidden detail under the cowls and airboxes you can't even see unless you take them apart.

    IXO has a third 1/24th F1 car out now, the Lotus 72 British GP 1972. They are doing different races than the Hachette releases wich is nice. Most of the inaccurate F1 models in 1/18th scale miss race details completely. This company does do alot of research for their models.

    Are there any high resolution photos of these new IXO? Does the M23 come with tire and tobacco decals? I'm not sure I really want to get involved with another scale other than 1:18 & 1/8........

    I have the 1/24th IXO F1 models on order, so I will confirm when I get them if they Tobacco decals, but I was told they do. All the Hachette newstand 1/24th F1 models have a separate decal sheet with the Tobacco sponsors on it hidden in the box that you have to apply yourself. They are decals not stickers like a model. The tire markings are on all the F1 models tempo printed.

    Check the Italian website I posted for big photos. They only show the Hachette versions but they are basically the same models with different race numbers.

    2019 Red Bull RB15. Nice model and much better than the Bburago special edition, but I am bored to death of Red Bull cars. This year's car looks much better but the previous 10 years were a yawn. In 2 weeks the Jordan, so we have beauty and the beast!!!

    I noticed on the 1/24th Lotus 72 1972 IXO they have the double gold ring tires. The Hachette has single ring. They are both correct as Firestone did not print double rings on all their tires in 1972 according to the race photos. They also did not paint the inside of the tires at some races. The IXO model is from the Britsh GP 1972. Also the IXO P34 version.

    I have the 3 IXO 1/24th F1 models now and I think they are slightly better than the newstand models. They have a much better display case included and the Lotus 72 has double gold ring Firestone tires, the Hachette newstand had single gold rings. From pictures I found they ran both styles in 1972, and on some races no rings on the inside tires just like the IXO model. Amazing quality for the money, a gift from Hachette to F1 collectors.

    BBurago Dutch 1/24th 2022 F1 champion edition already out. I think Hachette will do the 2022 Ferrari and Red Bull in 1/24th mid next year and they will be better quality than BBurgago by a long shot.

    I had the same impression with the WRC series - the models sold under the IXO label have a slightly higher degree of detailing than the Hachette versions.
