Brian- I do not have any revolvers, just semi-auto pistols and rifles. College buddy had a black powder revolver that I fired a few times, but that is about it. I have my Desert Eagle in .429 and LWRC REPR Mk II in .308 for when the Orcs show up.

I worked with a couple of brothers who were big boxing fans. They always swore I had bigger hands than George Foreman. One day they measured them and they were right. And I wear an 18 ring. A 44 Desert Eagle is too big for my hands. Jesus.

Try an old wheel gun. They're fun to shoot. I have always found them much more accurate in my hands than any auto but autos have a lot of advantages.

My ring is a size 10, but so far the Desert Eagle has not been a problem. You have to hang on really tightly, though, or she may not cycle. So far, so good. The .429 actually shoots a .44 size projectile, but with a lot more powder behind it. Bought it for fly fishing in the sticks in Wyoming, but then moved to Tennessee. Just as well, since I did not really want to see if it would stop a grizzly.

I always wanted to try a Bisley, but never got a chance.

Also: if you've trained a lot with a "modern" pistol grip, revolvers -- particularly old ones -- will be a fun learning experience.

To quote Ricky Bobby: "I don't know what to do with my hands"

My fingers simply will not fit in the trigger guard of many guns. One of the reasons I let the Colt Model P go. Rugers on the other hand fit fine. I have a Kahr I really like but cannot operate the trigger properly. I cannot fit my finger on the trigger of Colt cap and ball revolvers. One reason I like SIGs and 1911's, Big trigger guards.

Same with S&W DA revolvers I have a few Mags of them in various calibers with Mono Grips I hunt with. Sorry for the thread hijack Robbie.

The Bisley grip is unlike any other shape.

I have not ever held one a friend lost his before I could see it.
I guess my Doc Hollidays are a Bird Head, in pearl.

The gun shop mentioned "Pearl grips are not what the majority of our shoooters prefer.."
A nice way of saying the were OTT I suppose.

As to Kansas City Colts, any idea why they would use .22 instaed of .45??

I cannot speak for how many rounds before I received it, but I have never shot it. Luckily, Beretta parts are cheap and easy to find and swap out if you need a spring or something, but I am confident you'll have no issues with it...

If I list it as brand new, unfired, then I have not fired those. Alot I bought used, so I cannot speak for how many rounds or if they were fired prior to me.

Not selling but take a look at S&W Model 38/638 both in .38 Spl or the Ruger LCR in a number of calibers up to .357... (There are also a number of equivalent Smiths I'm not familiar with)
Shooting any of these in full house .357 is quite sporty...:p

S&W 649, the full-weight Stainless Steel version, will certainly make you think. I always hoped I'd never have to shoot it without a cycling glove, and even then, it hurt.
Adrenaline should take care of that, if called upon, though.

LOL at Tom's "quite sporty" description. :p

What is everyones thoughts on the pistol brace amnesty law that goes in effect December? Are you filing Form 1's now to SBR them or submitting to the ATF in December to register with the brace?...or selling this type of gun?

Can you imagine the tens of thousands of owners of this type of gun that do not follow internet gun pages and social media gun sites that have no idea they will become a felon after December?!?!?! I personally think it is going to be a real mess.

I have an LCR in .327 Fed Mag. With hot versions of that load, it is quite sporty indeed.

Then the whole purpose of having a shorter barrel is no longer. Like many …I have 16” barrel rifles. Some 9mm sub guns can’t swap to a longer barrel. This is absolutely not a solution.
