My car shipped out on 7/7, still not arrived at port
That’s impossible. The Trans Atlantic shipping route from Spain to the eastern US port is only 11 days. It’s not like they are keeping these cars on the boats for multiple Back and forth trips from Europe to the US. The only explanation is either (a) cars are being listed at 90 but waiting at Genova Italy port or (b)cars are sitting in US customs and the factory is not updating the modis system from 90-91. I Suspect it’s the latter but who knows.
I agree that the 7/7 date is questionable and that something else might be going on. I am just not sure that the two options are the only factors that can cause extended Status 90 times. Just for example, my car sat on the ship for 8+ days just trying to get into the port at the beginning of the year with all of the port congestion. Again I agree with your overall premise that 2+ months for Status 90 is way too long however, there are other factors outside of the 2 that were called out.
Yeah not sure what’s going on, my buddy also ordered a f8 at the same time as me and he is experiencing the same long shipping issue. My sales just told me that it’s still “on the boat” but im pretty sure there’s some other underlying issues like you mentioned.
My dealer told me my Portofino M was loaded on a boat 6/9/22 and confirmed at Port of New Jersey waiting for customs on 8/20/22. They told me they had no visibility of what was happening between those two dates, but had warned me it would be 2 - 3 months for delivery. I'll blame the chaos at the docks for the lack of visibility. Once confirmed at the Port it took nine days (8/29/22) to clear customs and get loaded on a truck.
Back when I took delivery of my F8 in July 2021, my dealer told me he could not get definitive confirmation on which boat the car was on out of Italy. He knew an approximate time it left the factory, but it was guesswork from there till it was confirmed at the Port of New Jersey. Like many of us, I tracked the Vienna Express and a couple other vessels and guesstimated when it left Europe and when it arrived. But I never had 100% certainty.
Yes that’s true the port congestion can be an issue but generally these shipping routes are like clockwork if you track the ships over several journeys . In doing so I’ve noticed a few ports are very busy and clearly having issues. In the last 2 months I’ve noticed Barcelona and Savanna Georgia being the worst with ships sitting outside of port for up to a week like you mention. Clearly Miami is going to be a problem now and maybe for a while. However the general trip across the Atlantic is still 11 days nearly every time so 2plus months “on the boat” is just not possible. My bet is the ship arrive in NJ and unload the containers holding the cars at port and the containers are just sitting there waiting to be opened and then inspected. I suspect once they are opened the cars get scanned and the factory gets the “arrived at port” signal which they upload into Modis. Until Then they just sit at “90”
I was quoted a money factor .00309 for a 60 months lease its for an F8 coupe with 64% residual. Is that what you guys are seeing?
Yes. What did you get quoted. Its gone up. Must be ordered before you get allocation. I’m told it’s now 20-30k. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cars on the boat scheduled to dock 10/19 in Newark. Hoping for a quick turn around and delivery. Crossed the Atlantic in 10 days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Where is your car going ? My boat landed end of August and still stuck in status 90 at the port. I have no idea what’s going on over there but it must be a complete mess
I shipped many BB 512s on Sabena and other airline 747s to Atlanta in the early 1980's for ... wait for it...$1,500 each. Hard to believe.
Still sitting “in shipping” status 90 from August 2. Maybe to save money Ferrari is using a new method.
