I didn't get to see all the cars on display however from what I saw I'd have to take the white Miura SV, the LP400, the 288 and amazingly, I saw my first GTB turbo in the flesh. It was beautiful. I'd take all those. Oh, and the Zagato bodied Bristol.
Oooooo- 208 GTB Turbo - I absolutely adore those - I'm with Alberto Mantovani in thinking it's the best looking of the 308s - I even have a BBR 1/18 version in Argento - I sometimes think about buying one - there is one for sale for about GBP 50,000 - but I'm not sure I could handle owning a LHD car in Australia though. https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/13118655 You know, I think I prefer the look of the 208 GTB Turbo over the 288. Don't hate me for thinking that ! The Lambo LP400 is very very special too. A top 10 fav - I'd prefer the 365/512 Boxer but its close. Thank you for sharing your thoughts Carl. Much appreciated. P.S Exquisite selection btw.
LM002 and the PF coupe for me! When the photos started coming I thought we were still in Carl's garage..
Ta Carl, many cars I've never seen BEFORE. It truly is a wonderfl building , can't wait to go now they have opened up the very top area, 1st time in over 100 YEARS . Perfect city for Australia's finest car show ....Food CAPITAL of OZ.
That building is awesome. I lol'd @ Karen's post re pity it's in Melbourne. Maybe they should consider a Red Rooster carpark in QLD
And STAY in ex Coolum beach TIME share apartments , add some class to the event with a GALA dinner at the local SC catered for by RR Coolum.
You know she meant it's a shame about the Melbourne location because she can't make it but if she didn't then yeah LOL
