So I just test drove an off lease 2018 570S Spider today…I get it now. I went into it with an open mind but also expecting to be underwhelmed due to the lack of a high revving Ferrari FPC V8 with an exhaust. And while it didn't SOUND as good as my car…it killed it in every other category. The sound system was amazing, the handling was flat as a board, and the acceleration was mind blowing and fun. They had a great F U Mantis Green color and paired with the McLaren F U doors, it made for an eye catching combo. I'm considering buying and never thought I would make the jump! I took for video for my new YouTube channel but won't share it here unless it's ok with the mods. I don't have enough subs yet to run ad's on my channel so it's not like I'm making $ but I still want a pass to keep everyone happy.
After a long line of fantastic Ferrari's I made the move to a 600LT. Lots of fun, waiting to get my downpipes installed to help with the exhaust sounds. Good luck with the decision.
After 30 years of everything from a 308 to an F40, I'm a convert. The CS is now gone! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow that's some great feedback. Sold a CS?!? Jeez! Here's the car I'm moving from. 2014 Ferrari Cali30 Handling Speciale I still want to test drive a 580-2 Huracan and the 458 again before I make up my mind. Just so I don't have that annoying car guy "what if" moment a month into new ownership lol.
Agreed, I'm on my second Mac, the first one a 570 spider was incredible, the second a 720s in perfection. .
I have a 2010 458 Italia coupe awesome car, but first exotic was a lotus esprit s4s. Just bought a 2020 570S spider to add to the Ferrari can’t wait for delivery next week I hope it’s all I had hoped for. I will still keep the 458as it has a special place in my heart but want a different car as a second. Full disclosure I own 9 car dealerships myself and I am like a kid at Christmas waiting for delivery. So excited !
In case you haven't figured out the web yet, this is where the complainers go. My 570 (and I would bet the vast majority) are flawless. No car company is without problems. Porsche w/IMS bearings were not all that common, but they make a zillion of those beetles, so there are more to fail. 458s, 430s, 360s have all had issues. My experience has been great so far.
Thanks Ingenere That’s comforting. Admittedly a lot of the complaints were from the early 12C’s and not so much from the later 570S’s.
I had zero issues with my 570 spider, worked perfect, so much so I moved on up to 720 after getting comfortable with McLaren brand and maintenance. You will get a few glitches like sometimes window might roll up instead of down when opening/closing a door 1 time out of 1000, or radio might not work 100% of the time, turn car off turn car on and voila it's fixed, like any computer or phone. As stated above you get a lot of whiners on the web, most of those ppl should not own these types of cars. The 570 is an amazing machine, it will dance circles around your 458 and outperform almost everything you come up against. .
Here’s my new 570s spider, signed paperwork and test drove Friday it was twice the car I hoped for in every way. I saw a 720s I almost bought but figured I would try 570s and next year move up.
Been 2 months of ownership. Wow what a car. Nothing will ever be the same. Had minor issues with windows going up and down. Was explained to me that the safety mechanism is sensitive to safeguard against injury, so just turn car off and on and got fixed each time it happened. No big deal. I turn my computer on and off when I have issues with it also.
