    The long way home
I've always thought it was strange to so publicly flog the cars, in light of harming future values and marketability... Guess we'll see.

Perhaps I'll be wrong, but in today's non-conformist world where people seem to be paying up for what attracts them (notoriety included) despite a lack of accepted quality in some cases, perhaps they'll bring strong numbers anyway.

In any case, he bought most of them when they were worth a good 50% less than they are now..They had fun with those cars and most likely will get more than what it cost them.

Is Mr. Hunt starting another collection?

He amassed quite the collection (250 GTO, 410S, etc.) some 15-16 years ago, sold it and then started a more modern collection.

From my vantage point per what I'm seeing come to the market and the contacts I'm receiving, some people have decided this is a good time to cash out.

That's just 4 years ago, the F40 80746 has been owned for just over 1 year, it was purchased July the 19th, 2021.

Curiously, the TaxTheRich videos of the auction cars being driven in a manner that upset so many have been removed from YouTube...

Ha! I sold my 993GT2 just before Lehman folded. It's probably worth 700% more now. Fun and games. This guy Hunt timed the mkt perfectly once before though.
