Thank you for sharing this with us. 5905p was on the top of my wish list for next year at my dealer’s. Now it is ex æquo with 5905 1a. We shall see what will come out first !

5905p is a beautiful watch. Don’t get me wrong. But when I got my 5270j- I realized that I would likely not wear my 5905p over the 5270. The steel 5995 just checks all the right boxes for me. Perfect size- perfect presence on the wrist. The steel bracelet is stunning.

Both beautiful watches but the p became redundant to me with my collection. Which you end up buying I’m sure you will love. Patek just makes amazing pieces.

Oh btw- 8 new references being released on October 18.

I just purchased my first Patek. It’s the in-line perpetual calendar released last year, the 5236P-001. Amazing what PP has fitted into the slim 40mm case! The platinum case and blue band/dial complement one another perfectly. The polishing on the blue dial really makes the blue fade to black, so to speak, when the light is at an angle.

Also, I purchased this through @flat_plane_eddie. I can’t recommend his help, pricing, patience, and guidance enough! Thanks, Eddie!

Thanks! I agree completely. The single day/date/month aperture at the top makes it really easy to read that information quickly. The design is stunning, and I’m honestly blown away by the beauty and quality. I’m happy I waited until now to scratch this particular itch!

Just ordered my first strap from www.camillefournet.com $311 for a custom blue ostrich for my 5524. Lets see how this turns out. This if it works is gonna get expensive! Much cheaper than buying new watches all the time.

Can they provide the folding clasp, as well? Or do you need to swap that each strap change?

They can do both. It obviously won’t be factory from patek. Although CF is the company that makes the actual Patek straps.

My predictions for Tuesday. 8 new Patek releases.

1- an all new sports line. Any new nautilus coming out will be precious metal- gold/platinum. Patek is going to get out of the steel business for Nautilus

    2- 25th anniversary Aquanaut

    3- ladies watches

    4- 8711

    What else?

This is my pure conjecture only.

Is that a perpetual calendar for lefties?!? Interesting….

I like the clean Nautilus designs best of these releases. What are the metal options now?

Looks like the only steel watch is the world timer. And yes- 5204 for lefties. Honestly there is nothing here I want to add to my collection. 5811g is decent but the hype around nautilus I want nothing to do with.

From the peanut gallery, I don't think of PP as a builder of sport watches. The new chronometers don't fit the vibe I expect of PP.

I'd love to see that 5712 RG brown dial in the sunlight.

5811 G is nice, face is the same color as the anniversary 5711 1P. With 41 mm and this dial, thats my watch. The 5712 R has the same color as the 5711R. The combination on the 5711R is beautiful so 5712 R should be the same. 5935 A is a bit 2mm bigger than the 5930 so with a stronger arm it should fit better. Need to have them on my wrist to decide.

I do like the size of the 5811 but I have no interest in a nautilus.

I like the second from the left in the bottom row but don't have much desire for any of the others.

Agree…most leave me a little blah. Oh look..another Nautilus..good thing they discontinued the 5711 and then remade it 1mm wider in white gold (meanwhile stating they don’t want to be like AP and be a one watch brand)…yawn.

Im not overwhelmed by the current releases- however I think that is a good thing. Their new releases don’t automatically make the prior releases obsolete. I’ve got my eye on the 5172 blue dial and this release just confirms it that I want that watch even more.

Nautilus I’m so sick of. Their true masterpieces are the strap complications.
