I just brought my 95 Le Mans Blue/tan 456GT from Switzerland to the east coast in May. Let me know if you have any questions.
@Mirek @Aerosurfer thoughts on the final RNM on that BaT low mile GTA TdF 456? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2000-ferrari-456m-gta/
@Ferrari55whoa it shouldn't have been $74k the first time with that interior. I don't see a huge reversal in the market, but the FOMO "now or never" vibe is definitely behind us.
Finally watched that video. 18 minute mark with Adams comments were entertaining. It will be fun to watch the BaT listing and see where it lands.
I get it that for a "purist" having the convertible is not as valuable as the current BaT Scaglietti/Schumacher 456 -- but for posterity I thought i'd save a photo of this older ebay listing -- at the time it had 15,625 miles. ZFFSP44A2S0100281 Image Unavailable, Please Login
You can get a house for $35,000, doesn’t mean it’s ready to live in. I guess the sorted automatics are still under the bar though
It’s interesting since you can only get an automatic Ferrari now, OK DCT, but have the option to be in auto or manual. The GTA seems to be such an outlier for demand and collectibility. What is the Roma actually sold as…. A sport coupe, a GT car? I haven’t been up close with one yet, but are they roomy? It would seem Ferrari has gotten away from the true GT continental cruiser that has a little more interior space? Plenty of threads that like to link the 250/275/ Daytona (take your pick) and bring a lineage to the 456 and 550 cars. But now there seems to be nothing new that pays tribute to the previous generation platforms. If they want to truly create demand for the 456, and likely push it further for the 550/575, pay homage to it more in future models. Not that Ferrari is worried about the used car market for 20-30 year old cars
I’m glad they aren’t in my price range! My wife’s patience with my “vehicle shenanigans” is at the max and I can’t bear to part with anything ;-)
“The cabin features red-stitched gray Connolly leather upholstery that extends from the seating surfaces to the center console, lower dashboard, and door panels.” A 2003 car shouldn’t have Connolly leather. Should be PF by then.
My guess was $107 with fees! just playing around….I didn’t know where it would end but someone really wanted it. Wow….
