There’s a meeting close to my place where they simply don’t accept SUVs - not even my Touareg W12 - and I’m really « impatient » to see if they will accept the Purosangue…

  4. For the price of a PS, I think I might rather have the RR Spectre.

An electric coupe isn’t all that comparable to a v12 four door FUV. That aside, buyers contemplating either are likely not in an “either or” position.

  6. No argument here.

I'm just a peasant. I only have one Patek, and a Richard Mille bought used.

France is the destination chosen for the new promotional video of the Purosangue. It was the local press that released the news of the sighting of a film crew, made up of about thirty people, gathered on the streets of the city of Villeneuve-lès-Avignonof on Tuesday 11 October, when shooting for the promotional video that will have as protagonist the Ferrari Purosangue. To promote the Purosangue on social networks, Ferrari has already gone to Norway, Italy and is now in France. The first videos have already circulated on TikTok post #5537, with the heart of the medieval town of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon proving to be an idyllic setting for Ferrari to highlight the clean lines of its Purosangue. Citizens and crew, it seems, immediately got in tune, as did the Ferrari engineers. The French producer Mathias Tejera, of Kastell Production, among the production managers, testified to this. "The new promotional video of Ferrari Purosangue will appear on social networks starting in the next few days, while the SUV is preparing for the first deliveries that will take place in early 2023."

The following video was made while they were shooting on a road near Villeneuve-lès-Avignon.

Fortunately in the French FOC there is a section for "classic" cars where the most recent allowed are the Maranellos, and other meetings (for more recent cars) often include track sessions - that should keep us safe in most cases :p

Designed like it is, with the suspension it has, interior style and materials, and a 7XX+ horse v12? Yep.

It would be a really good looking Mazda.

I never said it wasn't good looking..it is. But it's "yuk" because is just following the crowd. Just stuff a v12 in there to make it seem different. It just doesn't need to be in Ferrari's line up..at all.

The price doesn’t seem excessively high to you? It’s higher than our 2020 TM pista and close to our 2019 TM 812SF. And a tdf’s original MSRP.

Admittedly, I’m using a 2014 FF as a DD that I bought this year for $165K. Added a $20K audio upgrade / Apple CarPlay / laser jamming / radar detection to bring the interface into the modern era. I’m still a diehard Ferrari nut but genuinely struggling with the PS pricing.

    With the NA V12? Yes
    Without that? No

To my untrained eye, despite all of Manzoni's fancy talk, the Puro looks like a mildly lifted, 4 door Lusso, not a true SUV.

I’m not going to argue the PS price is reasonable. It is expensive. However, when looking back at 456, 612, and even my beloved Lusso the reality is none of those 2+2s had the demand and market appeal this new FUV has. Each of those cars were relatively expensive when new as well. It seems to me that with the limited numbers and with the demand outstripping production for years, it’s likely owners won’t take too much of a depreciation beating. To that end I’m more interested in that, the actual cost of ownership throughout the time we have the PS, than I am with the purchase price itself.

Fair enough. We purchased our 612 OTO and two FF’s secondhand at significant discounts (each below $200K). Although I don’t like crossovers, the PS seems well received as you suggested. Maybe, it will buck the historical 4-seater depreciation curve.

The leaked images of the Purosangue were released in February 2022. At the time it was speculated that the car seen in the images was not the final version. Comparing these first images of the Purosangue's side and rear views with the current ones, it appears that nothing has changed.

Do people in this forum think that having carbon on the arches and sides but not in the front and back bumpers will look ok? I had in the past on other Ferraris the carbon front spoiler and back diffuser and it was a nightmare every time I was parking.
On the Lusso I did not put it and I feel much more relaxed when I drive.
My only concern is if the back diffuser without carbon might look a bit "plasticky". Thoughts?
