4 things 1) its about 3.5" wider. Both the front and rear tires are pushed out. 2) the front end is more dramatic 3) the black side scoop detail is different 4) the rear and and real spoiler are changed No changes to the interior.
Several more. The side intake trim on the Stingray is a “boomerang” shape, while the side intake trim on the Z06 is “wishbone” shaped. Z06 badging is found ahead of the rear wheel. The Stingray has the “CORVETTE” script below the center high-mounted stop lamp, while the Z06 does not. Stingray has outboard dual square exhaust tips, and the Corvette Z06 has four central exhaust tips.
my build comes in at 150k. 2lz coupe with z07, cf wheels, clear top. gray with beige and black alcantera. i would have to hope the z07 w cf wheels are worth the huge upgrade based on video reviews but who knows? it looks so good on the config, that i would take it over most everything else on market including ferrari, mc, lambo, porsche. imo, only no brainer i want over this is speciale aperta. thats only more desirable car (within realm reality) to me right now. great job chevy. just too bad i cant go into dealer and walk out with it at 150k
what is story with $5k catback dealer installed exhaust option at the end of the configurator? is that needed to get the sound weve been hearing on videos? that would be a bad bait and switch.
^^^ The "Build and Price" is wrong, there is no optional exhaust system for the Z06. You'll note the exhaust in question is outboard 2+2 rather than the Z06's 4 center tips
Tough decision weather to go with track spec Z07 coupe or street spec non-Z07 HTC. Wish I could drive both before ordering. I daily my Stingray so leaning toward the later. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Unless they a la carte the Z07 package by the time I'm able to order, I'm not doing it. I'd like CCBs but that's all I want from that package.
I'm actually leaning toward this now. Tame color, no exposed CF. This is what I wanted to do on my C8 and ended up with the same color combo I've done 10x before. Only been waiting a couple years, so I probably have 4-5 more to change my mind again. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Saw a blue and black Z06 at Lightning Lap (really want to know the lap time). The alcantara interior looks great to me! Looks a bit better in person than pics- kinda like the C8, so no surprise. Image Unavailable, Please Login
And im the opposite thats the one part I want to delete from z06. But yes al la carte is the way to go, what some squid marketeer at Gm thinks we want and additionally wants to ram down out throat is a turn off.
I’m at $153K, really, really expensive for a Corvette, but a bargain for the performance (still waiting for those lap times- heard they did sub 2:40 for Lightning Lap time which is fast, like fast fast) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
When I go 1 lz Im coming out at 131k, 2lz 140k. In ilz if you go textile competition seat which i like, then you have to get the fuzzy fabric steering wheel which is a showstopper for me. In 2lz Id go the red mulan, Is there more leather on dash etc between 1 lz and 2 lz or just colors? The only material differences I see, are some so so telemetry, cross traffic(meh) and seat memory, which is important. Wish i could order a lacatrte, z07 without ceramics(save 5-10K). for good measure if a range rover and a stelvio can have carbon shell seats so can a vette, electric seats must be adding 70-100lbs tight there. Id take lightweight carbon shell seats of ccbs any day. Sadly great as it is, still in too many places only old mans spec choices on this car.
I looked into the interior of both cars at VIR- they both had alcantara. I thought it looked really good.
Sorry going napa leather, I think no alcantera on dash or wheel then, hopefully. Alcantera looks nice when new, i despise it. It gets grubby fast and does zip, terrible for a wheel just adsorbs sweat and hand oils. If you look at an older car with this stuff they look really terrible. ALCantera is great for headliners as thats not really a touch surface. Ive got 5 fast cars, 83 BBi 05 M3 11 elsie and 17 exige v6. Besides the BBI which was 10 years old when I bought in 93 the others were all bought new and all are keepers. I like specs that hold up to time. the Gulia is a lease(lease great way to decide whether to keep or move on) but a spec I like, prob by that car out too. Alcantera looks really bad with time, on any touch surface.
I guess I’m at 141 k and if could order alacarte prob would come out 5-10k Less. taxes title fees etc prob brings to 155 when all said and done
My spec comes in just under $122k. 2LZ Hypersonic Gray, black interior w/GT2 seats & red calipers. Dealer isn't taking orders yet, so I can continue to wring my hands over silver vs. grey vs. black, etc. etc...
I’m at ~$143K. Since it is a more aggressive C8 I like the torch red, carbon flash stripes and contrasting details, and CF interior options. I’d get the front splitter but the front blades are a bit of a turn off for me. May do an aftermarket front splitter. I’m not a big fan of large rear wings either. Like others, I have years to muck about with it! Unfortunately. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Someone has already wrecked one. Could be a test car. I"m guessing Bloomfield Ill. Image Unavailable, Please Login
