Yep. Mixed feelings for sure, but my friend that I restored it with, passed away last year and I think it's time for someone else to enjoy it. Will be missed for sure. It is a completely sorted and outstanding example of a GT4

14” on a injected car. Maybe they swapped them in the past?

No, the early 2Vi cars, like this car as well as my own, came with 14" wheels.

The transition to the TRX's occurred somewhere late into the 1980 model year, so all 1981 and 1982 model years had them.

Early 3082v injected. 14'wheels, raw plenum, vertical clock and oil temp gauges in centre console and original restricted speedo.....very original which is rare!

Missing prancy horse on ashtray. Needs bodywork but potential is there if purchased at right price.

Looks like it has QV seats. I'm possibly selling my QV also may go to BAT.

The "fish ribs" seat pattern used on QV's was first used on 2v injected cars, and then on QV's.

Looks like it sold for $51K ...with some rust and with 15 year old belts and there was not too much doom and gloom belt yak from the BAT bidders (the lack of the usual BAT trolls was refreshing...and I don't think there was one Magnum reference).

Anyone that mentions that and a flux capacitor joke at a DeLorean should get a lifetime BaT ban now.

Let's add mentions of Tony Stark with regard to the R8 to the list.

Worst part of 308 ownership: the endless Magnum comments. I've just started saying "What is magnum?" in response...

Can't imagine how bad the DeLorean owners must have it.

That's the advantage of owning a GTB. No Magnum comments. :)

I don't know about that, I have a 308 GT4 (and it's green, not red), and someone recently said "oh, that's like the Magnum car."

I had a DeLorean and it's waaaay worse than the Magnum comments. You cannot put gas in your car without someone making a BTTF reference. I eventually just started having fun with it and acting like I'd never heard of the movie. "Back to the Future? That's stupid... you can't go BACKWARDS to the future. I don't think this Doctor Brown you're talking about is a real doctor."

Oh, I get LOTS of Magnum comments. Folks dont see the difference. It's a red Ferrari after all: it's Magnum's!

All I know is than in 37 years no one has ever mentioned Magnum to me.
People ask what year, what kind of car, can I take a picture, but never any Magnum comments.
