    Wow, what a solid analysis!

The question is who lost the plot here. It doesn't matter what you buy your Ferrari for, that's really up to you and not really from a bigger interest for others.

However, if one discuss the value retention of a Ferrari, which is really not far-fetched with these products, tbakowsky's observation is quite viable.

There are a lot more Urus made and they are holding their value pretty well. Same goes for the G63…the PS will be a cult SUV and I am certain it will hold its value much better than any other regular production Ferrari

I think it’ll depreciate a lot but just not initially

Ok, when it depreciates, does that make it the pos car it’s being framed as? Is it another reason to add to the assessment of why it “sucks”?

I guess 99.9% of cars in history sucked because they depreciated at some stage, and that was a reason to put them down as cars. You know, those things with wheels, that are built to be driven?

    Lost the plot, indeed.

I believe you; the question I have is if you've been on the opposite end, I assume you would be the most enlightened to not perpetuate the behavior. I know of the 308 GTB slights, (it's a Fiat) it's not a v12, heck, don't even get me started on the 308gtbi. I'm consistent, I saw it in bad taste then, and I see it in bad taste now.

Some that get bullied go on to fight bullies.

Others? Human nature I guess, I mean Stockholm Syndrome is a real thing.

    Cie la vie.

No way to know until we get there, but I'll take the other side of the argument- I think the PS will hold its value and likely to appreciate- and stay there.

For folks that 400K is something they shouldn't be spending in the first place on a car? You bet.

For folks where 400K is a rounding error on their daily statement? no.

I've long concluded as you. Many pooh-pooh Ferraris from one of 3 angles:

Angle 1) What *I already have* is sliced bread, anything else crap. I not only have to prove that to myself but to everyone else.
Angle 2) A car I never could have is garbage, so I'm not missing anything. (pats themselves on the back.)

In Angles 1 and 2, anybody arguing the car is not garbage implicitly means that the detractors' own vehicle is not 'the best. Or that what they can never have is something of value.

Hey, whatever, one has to convince themselves to sleep better at night.

Angle 3) Fair criticisms but no desire to convince others that their choices are garbage.

I see many detractors pulling #1 and #2 going on here but very little of #3.

Wow, your going to drive your Ferrari instead of having it hermetically sealed in your garage? How very ‘unpure’ of you!

Damn, you a rebel sir. I grew up knowing Ferrari are meant to be stored in a garage, 500 miles a year and all. I also heard these things will melt the moment it touches dirt, kind of like the FF. You are a brave one! Respect! I’m going to now go hang out with the Ferrari crew that only drives to Cars and Coffee and takes their cars out on weekends, you know I need to keep my purity and all…..

Could not be more on point.

Outside a party I once heard a guy call a current model year, modern V12 Ferrari parked outside a Fiat. He of course changed his tune when he discovered it was mine. Then I discovered he drives an AMG GT, when he took out his phone to show me pictures of it. I had a good laugh to myself, thinking, was the base AMG GT guy just talking down a V12 Ferrari? Did I talk down his “cheap German pos”? Nope. I said nice car buddy, how’s it drive? And we talked cars for a little bit. I showed him the Fiat. Started it up for him.

Sometimes people just talk out of their ass.

Then I drove home, ripping my Fabbrica Italiana Automobili di Torino V12 down the road.

Who do you think was having more fun? :D

To your point, you really have to question their fortune telling acumen considering that they’re essentially arguing that while Urus and Cullinan are extra valuable, Purosangue will depreciate heavily, which by the way makes it a crap car. Can I haha or lol here at the staggering depth of thought? I think your argument is somewhat more sensible, but in my case because I will drive it whenever I feel like and put miles on it, it will depreciate regardless…

who cares when you hear that V12 rip…

You get it! I'm the type of car guy that appreciates all cars. I don't care if it's a Yugo or a Gullwing. I love anything with 4 wheels.

I also understand there are less fortunate folks than us. On the opposite end, millions of dollars are rounding errors.

    It's all relative.

There is no such thing as a 'perfect' car for everyone. There is only a 'perfect' car for yourself. That's it. So when folks bash vehicles that are 'perfect' for others, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I see nothing wrong with stating my opinion on why it doesn't work for me or things I don't like about it.

All I've seen here from detractors are subjective arguments on why the PS sucks for everyone, and whatever they have is better.

Great! Then you're swinging it around here? Your perfect car is waiting for you on your driveway.

What are they trying to prove to us?

Alas, it's trying to prove it to themselves.

    :)

At the same time, I'm not even criticizing folks that collect these cars ala Toy Collectors (never opened the box, keep it in the shipping container) - to each their own.

I just find it incredibly ironic some of these folks call out folks that actually what? "drive their cars"

The horror. Like to just look at your car? More power to you. Just STFU though toward people that actually drive their cars.

I've driven a Lusso for 3 years and 20k miles. Loved its versatility. Currently own an 812 and drive it about 5k/year.

I was offered a Puro and put the money down the same day. I will be taking delivery and enjoying the hell out of it! “Purists” can go nail themselves to a cross!

Leaves a bad taste in my mouth too, Paul. Even more so when the owners of the cars are bashed.

Guess what, I can look at anyone and bash them too… and better.

But is that really what we’re doing?

Much of this talk is going to melt away when the car is on the road. It’s a theoretical thing to most people right now, when they’re in front of you and real and people you know are using them, they’re contended with differently.

Love the people that say “my car has never been driven in the rain”

Then you see them every weekend washing their car.

I guess they think rain water will melt the car!!

I guess you’re not a purist if you have PS next to your 10 other F cars.

You bought Purosangue! Everything else invalidated.

Silly kids, some of you apparently just need a hug :D
