Thanks for the info. The average asking sale price would be around $350.00 it seems. Managing variations makes this less desirable.
I’m not sure it would be worth the effort, to break even.
The time involved and the cost of the custom appliqué would make this a failed venture.
Thanks thou. I’m always looking for more parts to make as I enjoy the diversion from my day to day. I just need to break even and possibly make some maintenance money.
I don’t like it when my wife slings the “I told you so”.

Any other part recommendations are welcome.

I still have Roof Clamp Toggles, Roof Clam Sliders and B Pillars for sale. ;)

No luck - I found some older threads where a guy from Texas (can't remember his name now), designed and had made new console plates from a place called https://www.frontpanelexpress.com/. I called them and asked them if they could get the design file out and make me one but they would not without the permission of the person who made the design. I tried to contact him through FC but to no avail....So, I remain interested in sourcing a new one

I would be interested in buying one if someone on FChat makes it (ronfrohock?). Mine is a 88 3.2.

I went to the front panel express website and it looks like you can design whatever type of panel you want on their panel designer app.

I’m going to attempt to design the panel. I don’t have an original. I have a picture of a CAD file but not the file itself. If anyone has the file could they forward it to me?

I’ll check back in to report on my progress.
If successful, I would make my design open to anyone who would want it.

If anybody has the measurements feel free to pass them along.

    Thank you very much.

If you search Mondial upper front plate on eBay, there is a replacement part that comes from Poland that looks like it would be a good fit for the 3.2. It is around $132 with $30 for shipping which I think is very reasonable. The cut out for the ashtray looks a little bit different but hopefully it will work out. I’m thinking about going for that one.

The 61022900 replacement part arrived from Poland. The graphics are good. It is a little lighter black than I was hoping for. It is very thin plastic. The ashtray cut out is definitely off.

I do have an oem ashtray and it drops down through the center of the upper cut out.

Hopefully I can find a way to make the ashtray fit.

My car is currently in the shop so I can’t check the fit to the center console buttons.

    Thanks very much .

A prior owner removed all the stock pieces over the center tunnel and put a wood veneer there. I am trying to get it back to stock.

Is the piece I marked with an arrow a plastic frame around the ashtray? If so, I’ll have to track down the part.

The plastic support on the right houses the light transmitting bars where the fibre optics attach to from the bottom and on top your back-illuminated foil sits inside a fine surround:

    Wow. Amazingly detailed reply!!!

    Thank you!

I get it now. I just have the foil but not the plastic frame.

You're welcome. You'll need to source the correct plastic support. LHD (your car) vs RHD (my sample) plus different HVAC button area; recessed like mine vs flush like your foil suggests.

thanks to afterburner who is all knowing and all sharing on Mondial details and fixes - we are extremely fortunate to have someone of his knowledge willing to help us as we work through the challenges of getting these cars "corrected" ....

FWIW, I have searched for the plastic support piece (part #61022900) since May with no luck, so let's put the word out again that if anyone has a source or can recommend a cost effective way of reproducing these, there will definitely be buyers (maybe Ferrari is listening...)

I don’t think it could be Ferrari Classiche certified but my work around was to use some of the plastic listed below which I got from Etsy.

I used a Dremel tool to carve out the shapes of the buttons. I made the holes quite a bit larger than the actual buttons because the top laminate piece covers up the underlying plastic piece. In other words, the underlying plastic piece did not need to be an exact cut.

I ordered the “foil piece“ from eBay listed below (very good helpful communicative seller there).

I put the two together and put all the factory buttons, lighter, and ashtray in there and I feel like I got an acceptable result.

My car is not a show car by any stretch so my standard for what is acceptable may be quite a bit lower than most others on this forum.

One of the prior owners of my car had replaced the entire center console with a big piece of wood veneer (see picture). It was missing a lot of the pieces.

That wood had severely degraded over time and I didn’t like that it didn’t look stock so I have been in the process of replacing everything and finally feel like I have a good result.

I bought some lamb skin and dyed it myself to the color that I wanted, and with the help of my wife, reupholstered the back plate and box.

I enjoyed searching for all the little parts. The ashtray came from Germany, the foil laminate piece came from Poland, the lighter came from California, the fan button came from New Jersey.

    Fun project.
