Steve Markowski and I organized a Dino Gt4 meet at my house in the Hudson Valley, NY. Some drove 1 1/2 hours, one drove 15 minutes. Two came down with a mild case of Covid, and a couple were having some work done on there cars, we still had 7 cars
come out. We diagnosed and repaired a misfiring Dino, 3 bad spark plug extenders, barbecued, test drove cars and all had a great time. Looks like this was the first annual Hudson Valley GT4 fall meet. Next year, I'll post here and try for 15 cars.
    Pete.

    Beautiful cars!

I really miss that part of NY this time of the year. IMO, nothing compares to a drive on the Taconic in the fall.

great showing! It seems like there are GT4 "pockets" across the world. I know the SF Bay Area was always one where somehow, there were a great amount of them. Maybe they just fit the roads well!

The story I read about Ferrari of Los Gatos is that they were rookies in the exotic car market so they didn't act like Ferrari dealers and sold every GT4 they could get their hands on while every other Ferrari dealer had one or two languishing on their lots.

Thanks, it was a fun day and I can't wait to host the next. I'm thinking a spring and fall event, doubt it will get played out. I'll put out a teaser early next year. Pete.

The Gt4 is a really great car back then. It had better handling than my 308gtb but then I did a lot of work to make it do just that and other things. No red cars...don't worry, mine is blue.

Well, it's about that time to announce the 2nd annual Hudson Valley GT4 meet up, drive and BBQ. Again, Steve Markowski and I will host the event, Saturday October 21 with a rain date for the 22nd, at same starting place as last year. A morning 1-2 hour drive is scheduled, around the beautiful Hudson Valley followed by the BBQ. Last year we had 7 cars show, and a few that missed due to conflicts, so put aside that weekend for the 50th anniversary party of the GT4. All GT4 owners are welcome and encouraged to participate, what better reason to take out your pride and joy and hang out and make new friends. Please RSVP so I can get a head count, last year we had 7 cars, let's at least double that number. Pm me for the address.

Pete, you know I'm coming! I have service schedule for September 1, so unless something hideous happens I'll be there with the '75. This year you'll have at least one redhead.

SF Bay Area was one of the highest concentrations of Ferrari in the world. We had more dealers that any other part of the country including 2 that were either #1 or # 2 for much of the time. Northern California had 5 dealers when So Cal had 4.

A 100% stock GT4 outhandles a 308. It has better weight distribution and a stiffer chassis.

The weather held out, but turnout was a bit lower, sometimes life gets in the way of our passion. 6 Dinos showed up and a Mondial. One sprung an oil leak, most likely from the oil cooler itself, not the lines. He passed on the drive and left for home. The drive went off without a hitch with peak fall foliage. We had fantastic valley views, drove past the gorgeous Shawanagunk cliffs. Famous for east coast rock climbing. Ended up hanging out with some new and old friends. A great day.
