    I have lots of questions...

Firstly thanks for posting your interesting project!

How do you plan to resolve cooling demands ?

In every application of twin turbo's in a 360 the primary issues have been related to cooling. It's critical to ensure cooling is well managed.

    1. Cooling & Heat soak
It dramatically reduces performance and can cause knock which results in engine failure if not managed correctly. Obviously high efficiency intercoolers go without saying but you'll without doubt need more air flow through the system. Strongly encouraged to look at the F40 lexan rear glass for the engine bay to assist cooling from plastics4performance.com

Depending on levels of boost you intend to run your going to need to fit lower compression head gasket. And potentially fit stronger forged pistons and upgraded bearings, particularly if your chasing +50% increases in performance over stock.

    2. Engine Management & Fuel Injection

Whatever you do don't fit a piggy back system based on additional fuel injectors. Also vent to air blow off valves are a big no no. The ECUs cannot know how much air has flowed if you vent to atmosphere. This is a hack job and no Motronic torque based OEM applications do it this way for this very specific reason. It will eventually cause dramatic engine failure, not straight away perhaps but later when some critical sensor, coil or actuator fails and the Motronic's pull the fuel and timing then go into limp mode without the piggy back knowing anything about it. Don't even think about aftermarket engine management, it's all vastly inferior to stock Motronics no matter what the bullsh*t marketing claims. It won't ever run right.

I can integrate a turbo PID controller into the existing Bosch engine management software and then you can fit larger fuel injectors and possible higher capacity fuel pumps. You can then calibrate boost psi (per gear maps) based on load and rpm. Doing per gear control allows better control. Integrated into existing systems is far far safer as if knock is detected boost can be pulled and fuel can be cut in a managed safe way.

    Summary

It's not particularly hard to cobble something together to work for a few acceleration runs in a garage but to make it reliable, robust and long life you need to do a turbo conversion on the 360 with a lot of thought... especially for when things go wrong and how to handle them safely...

If you put English subtitles on your videos, a lot more people will be helped.

There are detailed fuel injector calibrations that need to be corrected if you change fuel injectors on Motronic.. not just obvious ones for injector sizing and correction factors but also important for the returnless fuel system under different conditions.

    Love where this is going!

As this 360 platform eclipses 25 yrs old… I see adventurous gear heads creating the f40 experience ….

I’m subscribed… and brushing up on my French language! Merci!
