3.5 is going to be more fun than 3.0. Your car will actually be able to get out of its own way and not be passed by garbage trucks at the on ramp. :)

I would put a supercharger kit on it there’s one for sale in the Ferrari 308 FB group, it’s in Europe but the ad says it’s brand new, this one was made by 928 Motorsports, they no longer make them from what I understand

Those parts are all off the shelf the only custom piece is the bracket that the system mounts to. And that is very unlikely to cause problems

Does anyone have a list of the parts for the kit? The bracket could be replicated if there is an example out there.

agree, I'd put a pro charger on it. Back in the day the company who makes pro chargers wanted to use my testarossa to build a kit and give it to me for free, I passed but I'm sure they'd do that same deal if they do not have one for 308's/328's

google procharger, they are really big for the Ford Mustang market, if I remember (this was the early 90's) one of the owners was named Dan Jones, his brother is the main owner or was, I could make some calls for you if you can't find any info, I didn't do it because I was worried about how high they would turn the boost up testing it and blowing the motor but if your building a motor with modern internals I'm sure almost any modern components could handle a min of 700hp and prob closer to 900+

EDIT: here is a link: https://www.procharger.com/

i love the ideas. My preference is to build a 3.5 liter NA.. but pro charger isn't the worst idea...

I'm sure you know about this guy who is doing a resto-mod on a 308 with a 1,000hp k24 turbo engine, he has a lot of other really cool ideas you might want to look at if you have not seen his channel:

He also started a thread here but was run off

I don’t agree with his engine choice but that is a great channel with excellent videos. He does an exceptional job showing the process and explains his methods.

there have been a few that put a centrifugal supercharger on with a special bracket on the belt side. 928 motorsports is the oldschool and I don't think they make them anymore. Nicks Forza makes a bracket / kit, i belive. There are a couple forced induction guys around north america.

Thank you. I am familiar with the 928motorsports kit (i am
Actually looking at a new old stock kit of theirs that someone never installed.) i guess i was curious if there is a better option, which is why i asked about procharger. I plan to do the install myself so i guess that is a consideration (would take it to a shop for fine tuning after the fact). Also curious about opinions on the Nick Forza 3.5L option, cost and performance vs supercharger route..

Saw my old car on BaT this morning
    https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1976-ferrari-308-gtb-6/

Shortly after I sold in in 2012, Doug from Berlinetta told me he was building it into a "street race" car for the new owner.
Fast forward ten years later, and the algorithm suggests this link to BaT in my feed.
Doug had done some wild builds in the day, and used to sell pretty much everything you needed to make a 288 GTO out of a donor 308. This one started with a QV motor and twin turbo setup.
I cannot begin to imagine what kind of monster this car is in its current iteration with 700HP. I buzzed redline in 5th gear once when I owned the car (original wet sump motor with smog pumps removed, MSD electronic ignition, and ANSA exhaust) and it was terrifying.

    Good luck on your build!

Have you mocked up 10” wheels up front yet? If not then you have a lot of cutting and welding in the front door pillar to be able to even steer, especially with 18” rims
