Let's say that I don't understand tifosi.

They are like Don Quichotte who lived in a parallel universe, and let his imagination runs, rather than see the world realistically.

Ferrari says Charles Leclerc’s intermediate tyre selection for Q3 at Formula 1’s Brazilian Grand Prix was part of a split strategy gamble prompted by its weather forecast for immediate rain.

I´m not rating anything, as I don´t give a **** about drivers. Like Fangio said, these are car races. My point is that your statement about some previous comments being naive or even stupid....

...is so simplistic that is almost offensive. First, obviously stats don´t tell the whole story. Second, when someone/something is liked only because its results or utility, it becomes nothing when, inevitabily, becomes useless, as nothing can beat father time. And third, and this probably is the most important thing, loving the loosers is what makes the world survive through the bad streaks.

There is a very long tradition of loosers and misfits in art for a reason, but I won´t get into that to not go too much off-topic.

+1, but if anyone knows about naive and stupid comments—and misinformed, wrong or poorly written ones—it’s the guy that comes on to a chat site that is basically dedicated to “tifosi” and tries to **** on them at every occasion, LOL.

The irony is that the most ardent critics of Ferrari are themselves self-confessed tifosi. :p

Maybe you should try to silence them rather than having a pop at me at every occasion?

In fact, it's an F1 forum, open to anyone.

One can hardly discuss F1 without mentioning those who shine, or those who fail, and showing warts and all.

Praise must go to those who deserve it; at the moment it's Red Bull and Verstappen.

Can agree it is f1 chat, but ill not be giving any praise to Redbull after Masi help + over spend has me feeling like 2 un deserved titles for Redbull. Max has done well though credit where its due and all, but his titles are still not won on sporting merit alone, not taking away from his awesome driving, his team in my view cheated.

I sit and dream of a Redbull dq and how awesome the end of the season could have been CL v GR for the title.... Ferrari v Merc for the constructors...

Have sympathy, ive not seen a ferrari constructor championship for so long ive become filled with sorrow......... :( lol

The FIA has made its decisions, both about Max's title, and RB fine. I accept that. For me this chapter is closed.

People can have their own opinion, of course, but I will stick to what's official.

Our pace was not bad during this sprint race.
Really hope Binotto told the truth when speaking about ressources put early on 675 next year with a full powered engine..

So Ferrari, after hopes of fighting for titles this year, were considered to be securing 2nd places in both constructors and drivers championships.
Now it seems there are trying hard to give up the 2nd place driver to Perez and the 2nd place constructor to Mercedes.
It's lucky the season is not longer, they could have managed to go back to 4th places with more time...

The pace is still there to some extent, even Qualis prove that. Just the car after the break has eaten its tires inside 5-7 laps in the race

As someone pointed out, strategically for development Ferrari letting Mercedes eclipse them for second could help Ferrari very well for next year.

I can agree with this--however:: which was more egregious: Ferrari engine-gate or RB spending-gate ??

Would have to be Mercs tyre test and Redbull paying masi to fix the race and overspending.... Seeing as no one knows if Ferrari broke any regs or didnt find a gray area....... secret agreement and all that.......

Perhaps our main problem isn’t the TD39 after all but a really detuned engine after the Austrian GP ?
Just imagine 30hp less, lap time impact is huge as we saw during the Mexican GP.

It's TD39...Quali performance is still there, speed in the race is still there...but the tyres fall off the cliff earliy on and that didn't happen before TD39.

Who is claiming 30hp? I don't buy that for a second as Ferrari is still fastest in acceleration...

Italian bloggers ( pinch of salt) said 15hp since the season start and 15hp more since Austria..

I buy the 15hp at or around the start of the season, as acceleration and top speed figures are in line. But 15hp since Austria...nah.

TD39 is what ****ed Ferrari big time.

Of course the narrative is how magically great Mercedes' turn around is.

Wish I could lobby like them.

Agree it would be an optimistic view about the sudden lack of performance showed by the SF-75 after Hungary.
Just solve your power problem and everything will be fine with aerodynamic set up..
    Too simplistic I guess.
Mercedes are pure genius for recovering this gap without concept change !:D

That’s my take on it, too. They’re trying to solve the issues but up against it time wise.

You’ll note they haven’t had any blow ups in the races so they’re obviously managing their PUs with a combination of component replacement and power management.

Reading that LEC again yesterday was down on peak power and will be carrying this into the race.
