You need to put "knows" in quotes because the whole world actually does know.

I don’t think it would be a good move.
He just need someone next to him to deal with the operational crew.
    Sort of Nigel Stepney.
    A ruthless guy.

What is Mikies doing then ? Is he not Binotto's deputy ? Not ruthless enough ?

I get it: he is not Italian enough perhaps.

@Kimi2007 made a good point that since Binotto's position of power, also in the tech side, mid season performance has consistently slumped (horribly so). I've been saying it for some time now, that IF Binotto is capable of admitting his mistakes and getting a deputy alonside him to address his significant weaknesses, that's the way to go. This hasn't happened publicly and seemingly not behind the scenes either.

I made the comment earlier this week of Binotto's now constant deflecting that his job is probably at risk and if Leo's info is correct...seems to confirm that.

Binotto has been decent for Ferrari technically at the start of the seasons, but horrible mid season.

His reign as principal has been a total shambles from start to finish.

That said I do think they should've replaced him earlier and have his replacement pick up during race weekends, the championship was already lost so there would be no losses, only experience gained and the replacement could identify key errors so that he could make adjustments in the off season...now (if we assume Binotto is packing his bags after AD), it'll be more trial and error from early 23...

Seems like Mikies is close to be useless.
Someone is clearly missing within this organization.
Did you watch the wonderful documentary canal plus made about Jean Todt yesterday ?
I would say sometimes things are easy to understand but fix are difficult to apply.

    No, I didn't.
Do you know who is shortlisted for the job?
It seems that accepting a position at Ferrari, is like stepping in a minefield !

Take for what it's worth but its Turini.

Binotto might be out of the TP at the Scuderia.

Turini lists possible clients to take over as TP.

Coletta is the guy who was going to supervise the Ferrari Hypercar project, right ?

What's the future for Binotto? A return to the technical office, or ... the chop ?

Binotto is a great engineer but not team principal material.

The decision if Matia remains in another role will be up to him, they still want him, but not as TP.

Personally I thinks it a bit harsh on Binotto if he is axed, whilst i agree he is not TP material [yet] he has done a good job and produced one of the best cars for a good number of years. The only reason i would sack him is for not not continuing with the Ferrari script on the rear wing, thats basically all he has done wrong :).

The development of the car has been lacking but if I was him i would play the long game and develop this car for next year, he knew he was outfoxed (yeahh i know, always next year) but to get where Merc or RB are, it takes a stable team to develop for several years. Unfortunately the higher management cannot wait that long and shoot from the hip.

The engineering team has excelled under his reign and for some inexplicable reason he seems to keep faith with his race director which i feel may be his downfall.

Teams make mistakes, being Ferrari the magnifying glass is all over them at every race.

Could he accept a lesser role at Ferrari, I wouldnt, but then i would definately not want him to leave either.

For those of you who don’t follow English or European soccer:
“we have complete faith in our manager who has the full backing of the board” is usually a death sentence…
