I have John Kilborn racing 0376 AM at the end of 1956 (Road America National Championship Sports Car races of 8-9.09.1956), and early 1957 (6° Annual 12 Hours of Sebring, 23.03.1957).

Just speculation / new open questions:
    • if John Kilborn still owned 0376 AM in March 1956, it might be that the entry of Jim Hall for the 3° Annual Eagle Mountain Frostbite Races in mid-January 1957 was premature and that he DNA.
    • Was the chain of ownership Kilborn - Hall - Kilborn - Everly or was 0396 AM only on loan from Kilborn to Jim Hall in 1957?

Question - I see a number of cars from the early to mid-sixties equipped with the SNAP exhaust tips.
Did these come with the car from the factory or were they after market?
    Thanks for any clarification.

From back when Cavallino was worth the time and money. I doubt we’ll ever see that kind of thorough documentation in the magazine again.

Yes it is my old car 0556(stamped 0446)/MD at the Nassau Trophy Race held on 11 December 1955 owned by Porfirio Rubirosa but driven that day by Ebby Lunken to a First in Class (<2 liter). The earlier photo by Marcel is the same car but driven by Rubirosa in either The Governor"s Trophy Race on 2 December 1955 to a First in Class or the Ferrari Classic on 10 December 1955 where he ran 2nd in class. Rumor has it that Rubirosa left Nassau to play polo in Miami and let Lunken drive it in the Trophy race since Lunken was apparently quite unhappy with the handling of his 750 Monza.

    So much for trivia.

    Best regards,

    Robert
