From memory there is a lot of 25th very low mileage more so than any other variant. Not sure why that is. may be a left over from the guys who bought during the bubble in the 90s and never drive their car more than a few miles. At this point for that price, a car like that should never be driven or each mile takes a a 5 digits figure depreciation! lol.

That price, like all of Marshall Goldman’s listings is insane. It’s a wonder they sell anything when they start at crazy asking prices. Sure there are occasional buyers that will pay anything when they want a car, but I’m sure they quietly cave to market demands.

Low to mid $300ks plus or minus if condition matches miles. I assume you mean for a red / tan. :)

Nothing has really changed since the value numbers posted on pages 212 & 213, but there are too many variables to make an appraisal on a hypothetical car besides miles, other considerations must be (special) color, provenance, maintenance, current condition etc.

You really have to take these on a car-by-car basis, as you are finding out, many Countachs are not properly cared for

Agreed. Excellent, meaning, properly maintained and preserved. Red/tan. Nonetheless, you answered my question. Thank you.

Having owned & driven many Countachs covering every variant the factory made, this is typical, and the reason is simply because the cars are not always properly cared for, therefore there are great differences between how cars of the same variant exist and operate.

Every owner says their car is in perfect condition and runs perfectly, the reality is often something else.

That said, a well-maintained Countach is an awesome machine, a joy to drive.

Somebody likes to pay up for low-mileage cars with no regrets.

As I said just a page ago, sometimes the market does not appear to make sense, this one I did not predict, on the other hand today an F40 (GTE) sold for $5.5 million, so there you go, and all is well with the world.

They are being appreciated, collected, driven, restored and properly maintained more than ever before.

I am a bit surprised that an owner with a collection like that opted for a 25th. I love the 25th, but let's face it, it isn't the first choice for top collectors.

I agree with you, but I have learned to not be surprised with the choices collectors make, if you look at different collections, you can the thinking varies immensely.

I think in this case the buyer was looking for a close to no miles as a priority. I doubt the car will be driven. It would make no sense to buy a 200 miles 25th at top price and drive the wheels off of it!

I’m curious for those in the know..... is this a common problem with 25th Anniversary (88.5 cars as well as Diablo’s), where these buttons come off the climate control panel? Seems like everytime I see one for sale, there are 1 or 2 missing.
