Thanks Luis. Well nothing is as bad as the big square electric Vitalonis in terms of how they look but they do function as a mirror quite superbly. The silly chrome Sebrings on my front fenders are worse than a joke in terms of functionality but they're cool looking to some folks. They look better on a Miura. But what are those on the second blue Espada that I posted?

A great video from Harry about the 50th anniversary tour of the Espada and Islero: Also very interesting information that less than 600 Espadas still exist.
Well given his driving issues if that number is accurate then I think we have a clue as to why ... I've had the same experience but not nearly as bad as that.
Cool interview with Jay Leno at the Quail during Monterey Car Week 2018, celebrating 50 years of the Espada and Islero. A big thank you to the Espada and Islero owners that accepted the invitation from the Lamborghini Club America and Automobili Lamborghini to attend!
Trying to find some info on my Espada # 8562, 72 Series 2. I have not seen one with the same exhaust, dash or grille layout ?
Here are several of the IP and rear exhaust. I'll get better pictures and post. View attachment 2654265 View attachment 2654266 View attachment 2654267
Interesting! Does the leather of the center console exactly match the rest of the interieur? The exhaust could be a Jarama GTS derivate. A picture of the RHS of your Espada underneath the battery compartment would be interesting, too. Best Regards from Berlin ME
Yes, the center console and all of the interior matches. There is no extra wiring in the dash where the usual switches are and all of the controls an AC works fine. The exhaust does match a Jarama GTS and there is no provisions for the cross muffler. Attached is a picture of the grille. View attachment 2654357
Does anyone have a line on what to use to replace those black plastic/rubber pieces that are used on the front and rear bumpers? View attachment 2654465
John, To me this looks like a car that's been "futzed" with by one of it's previous owners. You could try and contact Bob Huber. He's on here very occasionally. But he's also on FB and he has a website as well. http://www.vintagelambo.com/ He's plenty of work on all the series of Espadas and has seen all of the various configurations of front ends & bumpers in his shop. He's also a very accomplished fabricator and has manufactured some replacement parts. Those gaskets between the bumper pieces have always been tough. Hopefully Lamborghini will reproduce them one day. There used to be some for the front available from the factory but I think they're all gone now. NOS rubber pieces from the factory can be tricky. I ordered one for my foot pedal box and now that I'm about to use it it's all cracked. These guys don't show them but you could always contact them and who knows ... maybe you could start a project? http://www.cicognaniguarnizioni.it/Lamborghini-143/espada-143-h03
Thank you Staatsof for that info... I sent them an email.. Any idea where I can find a exterior door handle? Thanks..
Looks like it previously sold at Fantasy Junction in California. It still has the same mileage as before which is odd. Anyone know what it sold for at Fantasy Junction?
And another, 2 for one price. Was wondering if these were the ones for sale years go that were just covered in the driveway? I tried to get the S1 for 22k-25k but it had sold. Not sure if the pair sold together. https://bringatrailer.com/2019/03/31/two-for-one-projects-1969-s1-and-1972-s2-lamborghini-espadas/
Maybe for $250K after the purchase price you might have one car. If you could find someone to make all the missing stuff. Over here at least Espadas aren't worth enough to justify that. Check with Marquis de Sade Restorations in the south of France, I'm sure they could fix you right up ...
this failed at bat. got to 55k its now on ebay with a starting bid of 85k and an unknown reserve https://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-Lamborghini-Espada/273793803954?hash=item3fbf61e6b2:g:KZIAAOSwDNpcpn-f good luck to the seller.
I think you'd have to have them made. They're SS BTW. BTW, I was just relaying a story about automatic Espadas over on the VLG website. There was a guy who lived in Lafayette California who bought two of them. One for his wife and one for himself. They drove them every day and put 40K miles on them over about 2.5 years. He told a friend of mine that they worked great and they loved them, no issues. Obviously they weren't aficionados of sporty cars but still, the fact that they worked well in that climate says a lot.
