Couple of snaps I took of the Graeme Hunt QV at Goodwood last weekend. Very clean though the front lid looked a slightly different shade of red. Up for sale at £475,000 Robert is this a well known U.K. car. Any idea what reg it might have been back in the day? That's $620,000, this is a really mint example, but FWIW we've sold a number of them in excess of that figure.
This one might be a good opportunity. Costs about USD 500'000. Mileage less than 16'000 Km according to the add. https://www.autoscout24.ch/de/d/lamborghini-countach-coupe-1987-occasion?vehid=6602624&backurl=%2Fautos%2Flamborghini--countach%3Fmake%3D43%26model%3D654%26vehtyp%3D10&make=43&model=654&vehtyp=10
Does anyone know the VIN of Graeme Hunt´s QV? The other QV from Klausen looks quite good! Any further informations known?
The expression 'restoration' is all-too-often loosely used, and when that happens it often misrepresents reality. Just judging by a number of images I have seen, I would not call the work done to FLA12823 a restoration by any means, some parts of the car were not touched at all and remain original whilst other parts have received a refurbishment of sorts with license given to a number of non-original modifications. Restoration by definition is the action of returning something to it's former (as manufactured) condition, and it's generally understood in the classic car world that this means a comprehensive reconstruction or rehabilitation of the whole car. However, I think in it's Nero Tenebre/Nero livery, it represents a nice opportunity with good potential. Isn't the so-called 'Swedish Spec' really just a Swiss-specification (Tipo Svizzera) with a couple of headlamp washer nozzles stuck on the front fenders above the headlight housing below the headlamps?
Indeed, but not for this price! In this thread we started with the name 'swedish-spec' and the distinguishing feature are the washer nozzles. If this is a 'swiss-spec', why GLA12005 which is a 100% original example, don´t have the nozzles? Both cars, the red example @Lamborghini Geneve and GLA12005 seems MY87 examples.
Agreed, both appear to be 1987s. Swiss spec cars don't have the nozzles, what I'm saying is the Swedish spec cars are basically Swiss spec cars with nozzles added.
Hi Car was sold by original owner’s son in May 2015 in mint condition with 6,000kms one owner on LAM443. One of the large number of red QVs UK supplied RHD that are easy to confuse!! Robert
Besides the 3 Downdrafts we have sold in recent times, my son has GLA12914 under contract in Sale Pending status with one of his Porsche collector clients, finger's crossed this'll go down as a sale soon. IMHO, this special-colored Downdraft'll come to represent what for many will have been a missed opportunity, this is a market to buy cars in and build the collection, as they say, Fortune Favors The Bold Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
As an aside I just heard that the RHD red Downdraft which needs much TLC at Gosford Museum in Australia just sold for $500,000 https://journal.classiccars.com/2019/04/09/australian-bidders-claim-cars-at-gosford-museum-sale/
Another Downdraft that has also sold in very short order is FLA12874, another fantastic opportunity IMO Image Unavailable, Please Login
Fantastic. This certainly is one to grab for the long term. One day people will be like well that thing was there for anyone to have can’t believe I didn’t jump!!
I saw this one too. It was very clean looking, but impossible to tell too much from a quick look around. And I am always cautious on mechanicals with very low miles cars. The asking price quoted, however, was not £475k but £425k. Which is US$550k. J
