Question. I thought the wheel nut spanner was 19mm, but it appears to be 17mm. Is this correct ?

Interesting observation. In the 5000S and 85 QV owners manuals, the 19mm spanner is listed as “wheel nut spanner”, yet in the later QV owners manuals, the 19mm is listed as the “spark plug wrench” and the 17mm is listed as “wheel nut wrench”. Another interesting example of how these details mattered little to Lamborghini at the time. The owners manuals are wrought with errors. Honestly, I can’t tell you which tool is for what.

Asking for a 25th Anniversary owner to please post images of the tool kit photo and reference diagram in their owners manual, and please indicate whether it is a downdraft or US FI version. Thank you.

88 mod year in the title. But beeing a very late non skirted car. It should belong in the 87 mod year run?

Joe was kind enough to post these images on the Anniversario thread. Again, referencing the inconsistencies of Lamborghini, note the pieces included, and those not included, in these two perfectly mint tool kits. So, don’t assume your kit is missing pieces because they went missing or misplaced. It could very well have come that way from the factory.

Would be great if others who own early Countach variants could post photos of their tool kits, as well as photos of their owners manuals where they list tool kit details, Please share.

For those needing leather gloves, and who aren’t hung-up on originality, the factory reissued gloves are available. You can order them here:

    http://www.partscollector.com/mostraArticolo.php?IDArticolo=6373

Also, in the US, Evans Automotive in Ohio carries them, or you can order them from a Lamborghini dealer via their part departments. .

Here's another opportunity - for anyone missing a 19mm spanner with tommy bar and screwdrivers, this is currently listed on ebay:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Set-tool-kit-bag-Lamborghini-Jalpa-wheel-wrench-screwdriver-pliers-Silhouette/264477413773?hash=item3d9415118d:g:psAAAOSwl-ddi1ai

Take note, however - while the Countach and Jalpa both used the same 19mm spanner and scredrivers, the other bulb/fuse container is not correct for a Countach. Also, I have never seen pliers like these in a Countach kit.

Another very good QV tool kit, again, likely a late model year variant given the one yellow translucent screwdriver. Also, note the amber translucent pliers. These are the rarer of plier variants (most are red or blue and came in a few various handle designs).

    - Missing the 17mm spanner and tommy bar
    - Missing the Phillips bulb and fuse case
    - Missing one wrench
    - Non original, superseded leather gloves

    Still a very nice example.

Did you mean to attach a photo?

As for assembling a kit from scratch, it can be done, but will likely take a lot of time. It may be more efficient and less costly to acquire the best kit you can and then back fill any needed pieces, if necessary. While tool kits can certainly be pricey, I suppose there is a price that can be affixed on time. But, I’m more than happy to try and help you find the pieces you need.
