The Swiss QV,is probably the worst performing of the QV family, Carbs and restrictive exhaust is a very bad combination.
The car covers fit the Countach perfectly fine. As for the headers, they certainly add hp. You said it yourself, not so long ago when your ulterior motive was to hussle a Fuelie Anniversary. No need to pull my motor. Like I said, simply bring your almighty DD and race my poor little Fuelie . As for my 3rd ban... Ive actually been back since last Oct, but only recently came back to laugh at your hand written dyno comparisons. Its not my fault that Fchat favors those that PAY TO PLAY. Once a shiesty car salesman, always a shiesty car salesman.
In that configuration it still puts out more than a Fuelie with the same headers & exhaust configuration on the basis of a combination of the engine's internal specification and its induction system, but you are right, carburetors really benefit from a free-flowing headers & exhaust setup, as in fact does any V12 Lamborghini engine. Again, the Lambostuff cover you suggested is shaped for the Aventador with different mirror positions from the Countach, it doesn't fit well, and there are no Countach-specific car covers on EBay, they are all generic car covers, your information is both incorrect & redundant for anyone who cares to have the right thing. As I say, like some people who don't mind clothes that barely fit and are too lazy to care, of course you don't mind a random car cover on your Countach either, clearly that's your mindset, but there are people here who care about getting correct parts for their cars, we understand that you don't The European-spec or Downdraft headers do add hp of course, but your statement that "there is definitely a very noticeable performance gain" is just another of your BS exaggerations as spoken out of the seat of your pants as usual, on the street all you'll notice is a nicer sound and and the fact that the temps stay lower. The 25th Anniversario thread was started as a resource and exists to this day as such, if on the other hand you think it was only started to sell 25ths, well, then I did very nicely thank you, so no worries either way. I know you wont pull your motor, LOL, that was wishful thinking on my part because you don't even service your ailing cars, rest assured if I ever pit my Downdraft against a Fuelie, it will be against an example in optimum condition. The reason you are back here is very simple, you are banned everywhere, on Facebook, on Instagram, so there is nowhere else for you to be, which underscores why you don't use your real name Allan Fiedler. I'm confident my dyno database is the most comprehensive one for Countach engines that exists anywhere, and I'm also confident that you know it will be published in the proper venue and will come to be accepted as the received standard, be patient, you'll read about it in due course, meanwhile don't worry about the engineer's original graph, that's already been transcribed to a formal graph, even the factory started with a hand-written illustration. FChat favors pay to play? I love it, at least unlike you I put my money where my mouth is to be here, in fact IMO everyone should be made to pay to play, it would raise the bar for the quality of content here. My standing in the car community speaks for itself, you on the other hand have a track record of zero accomplishments in the Lamborghini community and everyone knows you bring nothing but drama, for the period when you were away things worked very nicely here, now you are back don't expect anyone to roll out the welcome mat for you Did you just look that up? Again, tell us something we don't already know, I covered it already, with the useful information which Adamo can actually use by way of illustrating what is correct, and suggesting who can provide the correct items, nobody needs your throwaway input here, it is almost always either incorrect or redundant.
Adamo, please be inspired by John Petrovic's thread, he did it the right way https://lamborghinichat.com/forum/threads/qv-dd-gla12945-euro-body-conversion.566713/ I photographed the rear of my car and converted the image to an illustration to act as a template for measurements for badge placement for him, if you need anything let me know.
Seriously? Geez. Let's see, personal insults, bypassing profanity filter... Naw...I really have given you more chances than anyone else has on the web. A longterm Lamborghini owner is why I try to keep you around. But hey, sometimes it just doesn't work. Maybe next time.
Here we go again, same sad story, power of the mike syndrome. Articles full of BS , and it rolls on,is there nobody in this owner circle ,with a wiff of technical common sense ?or knowledge? Why are you the moderator? Kick backs ,bribes,? Lol
Back to the real world, I am pretty shure we all would love to find out, pitch your Dd against Alan's FI, he is all ready to go, will settle all the arguments real fast.
Too easy. Are you feeling particularly lucky today? You are not much better. Just because you read well-researched articles that are corroborated with scientific fact that makes conclusions you don't like to hear doesn't mean it's BS in any way, in fact expect to read more in venues that matter. Would you like us to renew the basic differences debate as a refresher? I'm happy to do so with more recently corroborated information. Power of the Mike applies to everyone, we all have a voice, if you pick up the mike and you act like a clown and consistently say idiotic things you'll get treated like an idiot, on the other hand if you treat a resource thread properly with technical, historical, production & market information supported by useful illustrations & images, you'll get treated with respect.
It would settle nothing, according to a good source, it runs poorly and on 10 year old tires with the rear suspension jacked up 2 inches, why would I lower myself and my car in any type of childish competition with a less-than-optimum example? Of course he is always ready to go, out of the seat of his pants. We have a test planned at the Thermal Club Raceway, I'll pay to ship your car out, professional drivers, we'll dyno it as well, perhaps you can offer yours.
Well, here is your chance to find out, put your car on the real dyno(the road) against Alan's crappy fi
Where is the love? The only reason Allan got a sabbatical is for breaking the rules, which he is well aware of. Nothing to do with the technical side. The truth is I like both variants.
Look at your posts today, seriously, a child wouldn't post the way you consistently do, proposing a street-race endangering other people's lives as a means of anything conclusive? Seriously, are you drunk again tonight? The street is not and never will be "the real dyno", that comment shows how juvenile your posts sometimes are, the right and safe venue for automotive testing is a dedicated resting facility or circuit in the hands of professionals. Sorry, but I'll always decline to have anything to do with Allan Fiedler's Countach for any type of comparison because it'd be redundant, instead I'll take him at his own word which is: "A US injected Countach has no where near the power (of) the Euro QV" as posted above. As regards his Fuelie being "crappy" I'll take your word at that description, I honestly haven't seen it myself but a colleague has and he reports it as described at above, "sounds a bit rough, on 10-year-old tires, rear suspension jacked up @ 2 inches", his words not mine. Perhaps you are just sore that Fuelies are the lowest valued variant bar none, and this has manifested itself more so since people have rediscovered the Downdraft, the most powerful Contact variant the factory produced. That's life, things change, and you are making it worse for Fuelie owners by drawing attention to this, as opposed to just enjoying what you have. If you were astute, you'd in fact laud the attributes of the Downdraft because that car's increase in value they'll surely help Fuelie values somewhat. On the other hand, if you're so unhappy with your Fuelie, just get a Downdraft if you can and put yourself out of your misery.

Thanks for the kind words, no sweat,I have been called worse, back on topic, absolutely love my QV,with its big engine and gobs of power, and I will encourage anybody who is in the market for a Countach,to run out and buy one,it is,in my oppinion(and four other in my circle of Countach owners) an amazing variant, not bashing any of the others, but I encourage anybody in buying mode to drive the different variants before they pull the trigger,do not take Joes or my words for it, go out and drive, talk to owners, snoop around,All Countach's are Amazing, just make shure you get the right one for you, As far as performance go,we are probably all beating a dead horse, they are all not that quick in today's standard, the quickest variant doing 0-60 inhigh 4 sec in legitimate period correct tests(not a duude with a stop watch and a six pence) to put it in perspective,my 2020 Corvette c8 runs 0-60 in less than 3 sec, with only 40 hp more than the highest factory rated Countach, all this is irellevant, because its a Countach, and it is the coolest car ever made.
Just got my new car cover, factory Huracan stretch type, from a Fellow Countach chatter, fits really well, thank you.
We have seen at least 3 FChatters do just what you describe and debate whether to go Fuelie or Downdraft, they have done their own due-diligence, and decided to pay 2-3 times the price of a Fuelie and get the Downdraft, this act alone speaks for itself, this is all documented in the Downdraft thread. As I have said many times before and will say as many times as you make this an issue, there is one reason and one reason only that anybody would buy a Fuelie, and that reason is just because it is much cheaper. If you like, although it would probably take up @ 4 pages, I can provide you and others with an updated full review of the differences between the Fuelie and the Downdraft, I'm always happy to oblige. Otherwise I say just accept the decision you made to get what you have, accept it for what it is, and enjoy it to the fullest.
believe me with all the posts on this topic i would really love to check some power output myself unfortunately F.I. QVs are pretty rare here anyone has a F.I. QV near Modena - Italy (possibly with sport silencer) ? as soon as Corona virus is behind us i would like to put it on a Dyno with the carbed QV and see what outputs are
Hot Rod Emilio, the only way you will establish true numbers for accurate comparisons is, engine out and dyno'd on the bench. By the way there is a reason Fuelies are rare in Italy. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very cool, but you are arguing a subject Wich is not intended to be an argument,at all, I promote and praise the fi,because I own one,and is very happy doing so.all I say is ,if you are in the market, drive the different variants, not saying anything negative reg the dd,just sharing info and experience reg the QV fi, Wich is where my experience is,why is it you always come back with your nasty under the belt divorced women kinda remarks? And telling everybody your dislike and disgust for the fi version? You need to stop this,it's extremely out of line, and Rudd. ,we are 4 fi owners and very happy at that, I am shure your dd clients made the decision that was right for them, but so did we. Please, stop your nasty replies, let's move on, I love my car,and so does my friends, I respect your love for the carbed car,all good, but please, stop the a hole mentality, and respect my oppinion,Thank you,
