Thanks Joe - very much appreciated. But wow - where to source carburetors and that manifold.... anyone??
I've always wondered about those Lucas Classic tires - are they NOS or does this company rebuild the tires on their own from either theirs, or Pirelli's discarded, molds? I have a feeling that Pirelli will make these in a short run, again. I'm in the wheel and tire business and every couple of years they'll take a whackball size that was long-since out-of-production (such as the 355/25R-19), and then go and make a few hundred of them.
They are brand new tires factory manufactured by Pirelli to the correct spec of the original Supertire, using modern rubber compounds, manna from heaven which some of us fought long & hard for, most of the story is here https://lamborghinichat.com/forum/threads/countach-tires-does-anyone-care.508651/ , Longstone UK are the source and distributor and Lucas is the USA supplier, contact them for immediate delivery. As regards the carbs you need 45 millimeter Weber DCOEs, I believe I see some on EBay, these guys have some, https://www.eurospares.co.uk/parts/lamborghini/countach/fuel-components and these guys really specialize in Webers and can source them https://www.piercemanifolds.com/, if you are determined to get them it's not a problem.

Whoa - Joe! After reading through that thread about what you all went through getting those tires - and seeing them available now - I just jumped on their purchase. Nevermind that it will be 6 months or more til they're ready to be mounted. Thanks for all who championed getting these re-made, a few years back. I for one am quite appreciative, of your persuasive efforts.
TC YOU ROCK!! What year is your car? Do you think that any/all of that is applicable to 1984? Cheers, 'Matey!
Question Re Exhaust for 1989 25th Anniversary US FI Does anyone know the best place to find an Ansa Sport exhaust for a US FI 25th? Is this a true 4 valve Ansa sport exhaust (not the 2 valve Ansa sport for the early models)? Thanks, Adam
Some of the parts on BAT are applicable to a 1984, in your case to bring your LP500S back to the original European look I'd say grab the rear lights & lenses and the front bumper-spoiler, the parts were accumulated by the owner of an LP400S https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1982-lamborghini-countach/ even though some of the parts do not apply to an LP400S, I think he just liked to buy Countach parts! There is only one Ansa sport exhaust unit not a 4 valve Ansa sport exhaust and a 2 valve Ansa, that said there was an original series of mild steel sport exhaust units made in the 70s, followed by a second series in the 80s (I won't get into all the differences here as it's immaterial, those units aren't available) and then there is the current reproduction unit in mild steel available from a number of sources such as http://www.emiliospareparts.com/?goods=coutach-exhaust If you prefer, Quicksilver in the UK can supply you with a stainless steel unit. For the 25th Fuelie you have to ditch the catalytic converter and then modify the connecting pipes to make it work, you need to work with a skilled exhaust specialist and the tips have to be shimmed to extrude through the rear valance of the 25th which means precise alignment. Hope this helps all.
We can't post about 1120001 without thanking Raymond Stofer for selflessly alerting the factory of it's existence in a dark garage with gold rims because he knew exactly what it was and how important to Lamborghini's heritage this car is. He could easily have purchased it for himself (or contacted me, I would have purchased it immediately!) as the car was available for a stunningly cheap price at the time all those years ago. I hope the factory Museo includes a small mention in it's display rom to say Grazie Raymondo. I know we will have a drink on him at Pebble Beach when we are reunited with this Countach Holy Grail.
