Countach QV FI Thread

Just wondering if anyone has seen this in other countach’s. Mine is a 87 bianco perlato qv and it has the automatic seatbelts. You can see where they connect beside the air vent.

never seen these in a Countach. My 88 Testarossa had a similar system in the roof pillar,upper door jam

 

John Temerian told me it is the first bianco perlato with black interior he has seen. I haven’t seen any other countach’s with the auto seatbelts and I have seen many many of these countach’s. Periscopio’s, lp4 lp5 qv’s anii’s.

 

I am the second owner. The first owner told me that my Countach was the one they used in the North American auto shows hence the bianco pearlato with black guts and auto seatbelts. Not sure if the original owner was right or nor?

 

I restored a 1950-ish Ford 8N in that exact color scheme about 18 years ago. I have to wonder if that is one and the same?

Sounds like a promotional car based on your seat belt thing. Message, here we are ,all compliant , do not think a small privat entity would go trough all this. Very interesting. Very cool your color combo beeing a one and only ,ore close to it

Yes, I have seen this before on another Countach. I was looking at a White/White 1987 model back in 2009. It had the same seatbelt setup. It also had the A/C mod by Wil deGroot. It was previously owned by David Kean in Calgary, Canada and then by a friend of mine here in Washington, Bob Merrell before he passed away. I have photos of it on my laptop, I’ll post them when I get it back from Dell. It is having an issuee with the motherboard fixed. I also have the VIN number car too that I’ll post with the photos.

Also now that you mention it, I have Not seen a pearl white on black car ever before though. That part of it I think may be very unique.

 

Picked up the nephew from camp. This pic was before I was swarmed by kids. I know I know, this winter the holes from removing the bumperettes will be taken care of. Also getting a down draft valance made from buy the horns Lamborghini parts

The impact the Countach has is multi generational. Nothing has the presence like this car.

 

We are lucky guys to own one. Part of living a charmed life.

Hmmm - is that an Anniversary dashboard in your car? I thought only Annis had those windscreen vents? All others were the 3 round type?

 

No. Last of the pre Annie.

 

My 87 qv has those vents as well.

 

Weird - appears to be an Anni dash.

 

I wonder if it's a Fuelie thing - although Eurospares doesn't seem to show that as the correct dash for a QVi according to their parts list.

 

Those windscreen vents started in 1987

hi there, did you run your car in the Countach rally?

 

Most 1987 Fuelies have the slotted non-adjustable vents as illustrated, and some Downdrafts have them too although you see Downdrafts with the circular adjustable vents all the way through 25th. As I always say, the rule with Lamborghini of the era is exceptions to the rule.

Yes he did, it is the quick GLA12947 which we sold him, seen in the image Ken posted above and here below.
