QV FI cars are bringing crazy money lately......fourth one to bring over $600K , one recently at over $800K...who would have ever thought

It's good for all Countachs, and it's relative, we have just sold our 4th Downdraft to bring well over $1m.

 

I have had many offers to purchase my F.I QV and respectfully turned them all down. No amount of money could ever replace the pure pleasure this car creates for me. Everything from sitting there looking at it in my garage in the middle of the night. Or taking it for a drive after a horrible day. I really hope that I will never been in a situation that I would have to let it go before I pass it on to my nephew. For the moment I know I will be taking it out this weekend to stretch its legs. Well it’s really because it makes me smile when I drive it lol. Sometimes I think about how lucky I am to own one.

It is addictive, the complete automotive experience, just amazing. Also beeing in the design/manufacturing business, i can totally relate to the 80 s small company build process. Makes you feel good and smile.

 

You mentioned your car will be down in my neck of the woods this winter? We should get some miles inn. Poss do a Countach meet. There is a few north of here and a few in Naples.

Finished the cover plates for the bumperettes holes. Didn’t do the bodywork in case it ever needs to be brought back to original. Easy fix. Just waiting on a euro valance. Also getting the exhaust ceramic coated black. For now I’m taking her out on a prowl tonight.

Can I ask what the cost of that was?

 

A whopping $500 Canadian dollars!!!!! . The plates were cut up and made by myself and my paint guy. He matched the 37 year old original bianco perlato paint pretty good. I’m sure he will make more if people needed them. It cost so much because he made the cover plates in the lower quarters, and also two small ones where the bumper bolted to the rear tail panel.

 

I did something similar with my wing removal, skinny aluminum plates,paint to match,and a dab of silicone,

Summers are busy. Just got back from Norway. Ella and myself spendt a wonderful week in Norway prior to her UT Austin College adventure. Moved her inn this past weekend. Countach is ready to go.
