Patek Philippe - the basics of building a great collection

I like a lot of the new watches. Have ordered the two nautiluses. I think the star of the release is the green 5204, just a tad pricey at close to $340k including the sales tax that would be payable in most states!

I am with the Nautilus, since almost 40 years now. Since having the first one in my hands. Its the design I like and its the watch I like in all the Versions. Have a couple of other watches but the Nautilus is, at least for me, the queen.

Lol. Funny story is his watch collection is epic. He wore a 5370 to Geneva- enamel dial. The Apple Watch is one of the original gold watches. He wore it as a joke as his minute repeater was supposed to be delivered at the party but it got delayed. He was forgiven. .

 

And the AP guy/gal...

 

His watch cost almost what I paid for my house 5 years ago. Haha.

With that said, Patek's grand complications are mind-blowing.

I like this so much better than 5711 due to larger size. Told my dealer when they release in a full gold version, I want it.

Any gold version. Ideally rose gold. So when the 5811r comes out- I want one.

 

My mom reaches out to me last night and says her best friend is trying to get a watch, can I help by talking to my AD? I said sure I’ll see what I can do, knowing damn well that if they want a Patek, literally there is nothing I can do.

I speak to my moms friend and he says yes, his cousin is trying to get a Patek and he heard that I have “connections”. Can I help?
Ofcourse the polite thing to do is say yes- I’ll call my AD and see what I can do. Do you know which watch?
Yes he says. He sent me several and really any of them will be fine.

Rumor is that the new sport watch collection that we heard about on my Geneva trip to the factory may be released on Christmas Day.

Don’t know this for a fact but has been thrown about by none other than TS himself. Let’s see how accurate my source is.

So keep an eye out for a whole new line of sport watches on or about Christmas Day. Allegedly.
