Am loving the 72’!!! I don’t know anything about the car but that is a great color!!

if you can get a Euro Dino , most would prefer that over US spec— Word! I don’t think Lup071 is disparaging US spec— he is just proud and happy that he owns those and he happens to have a close tie ito Italy— both personally and professionally.

will be interesting to see where the BaT Dino goes-/ if it goes into the 9s then 1+ is not out of the realm. Peace out. Mi amore el Dino.

My Door is open to you and yes.....I have some very nice Barolo's in the wine cooler......which is in the garage so there is a something nice to look at. PM me when you go to Miami. Martyt is spot on, I am the first to say I got very VERY lucky to have ties to F-1 and that is how I found a pure Italian spec car. I have searched 3+ years in the US came very close a couple of times but no luck and from simple conversation with someone in Italy that is how I found the Dino.

Nothing for nothing but I believe BaT today also realized the world's highest auction price for a 308 GT4 (Dino) at $220,000. Obviously the Bertone designed cars (without the Dino V6) are a much different vehicle in mechanics, design and visceral reaction compared to the 246 GT ones by Pininfarina. The point is more that BaT is delivering buyers at prices the big auction houses haven't for these once dismissed sportscars.

I think it's a stunning car. But, we will see the vintage Analog Ferrari's keep increasing especially as we get closer to the whole "EV" crap. We know what a lot of people don't know (the sheep), that there is nothing like an analog Ferrari and a gated shifter. But, little by little the word is getting out.

I think part of it was the guy "steve robertson" was very new to the platform and had no bidding history etc.....and he kept making comments to cast a shadow of doubt to the legitimacy of the car. Ironically enough...that name Steve Roberson was an ex ferrari driver years ago.....so likely it's not the guys real name. who knows. It would have been very simple, if he was really interested in the car , send an expert to inspect it. That is actually what I did one one of mine and I followed the advise of the expert. we will see where this one ends, but no doubt it's a gorgeous Dino.

Unfortunately, this car is going to distort the Dino market.
Now everybody and grandma are going to list their cars, as this is becoming way too crazy.
Driver Dino will rise by 25-30% or more. Bummer.

    Regards, Alberto

PS. on the upside, my custom body parts are getting marked up by 50% :)

I wonder if “distort” is the right word. To me there are relatively few chairs/flares Dinos world wide - let alone in the US. Heck I think there are only a bit over 1k GTSs world wide. Contrast that with all of the “rare” and numbered/editioned modern cars and suddenly the 246 GTS, particularly rarely equipped ones, begin to look like hens teeth. I think the other driver is what Ferrari spider/targa car can you get with chrome bumpers for any less? Those are pretty compelling drivers for the Dino market imo…

The RM platform is hard, I tried to get a Boxer at one and the bidding is just so fast. But, this car is Beautiful also, the headlight covers and wheels are not original as the factory never did that but dealers did. Anyone know who sells those Dino carpet mats? I could use a pair of those!

    Dino 206 00356 “Project”

Sold for €304,375 with commissions and all in

Wrong engine (246) and incorrect steel nose along with all kinds of stuff that would come with a project, but will be awesome to see it made like new.

New owner of the 206 has a lot of work and it seems, he hasn‘t done his homework properly.

I hate to be a “Told You So”, but this is what I was posting about last year.

I could not comment publicly about private sales where I had been asked not to share publicly.

    Hey, c'mon now Tony !
A lot of buyers, owners, sellers and speculators have inherent NEED to RELY on and TRUST the BS, even if it's created from unverifiable auction result and spoon fed by insurance companies.
How else would they know if a car is worth anything, especially to themselves ?
