First run out. Took the wife. Up to Tuxedo, through 7 Lakes to Perkins lookout down the palisades pkwy. Near the water, the colors were nice. but you can see from the scenic overview - the leaves have a week or two more to hit optimum vibrancy. This drive was about 2pm-4pm today, Wed. Minimal cars, minimal bikers, minimal hikers. Just a nice leisurely drive with the top down. That's awesome! I was on the road in my 458s at the exact same time yesterday doing the same thing only I drove down Trenton Ave. on the Jersey side of the Delaware River. Started in Frenchtown and drove S.; nobody on the road and it was beautiful.
Make sure you hook up with Will at Exotic Cars in Frenchtown. Will is a good man, runs a good shop and his drives are wonderful.
Wife said "Let's go for a drive in the Ferrari". This is rare. So off we went. The weather is beautiful. Up Macopin to Westbrook to Lindy's Lake down Otterhill rd. Absolutely gorgeous. very few cars were out and the roads twist & turn as they pass like 15+ lakes. Took only an hour.
10 days later, went up the same route. The vibrant yellows were gone. A much more subdued hue was on display. Many of the hardwoods haven't changed color yet the shots are Bear Mountain. Thank you !! left her outside after running errands because i wanted to do a long leaf run up to the hook here in jersey.... coming over the flyway and seeing the ocean was just wonderful with twinlights and all of the leaves in the mirror
