I always liked the design of that BT58. It's funny looking back on these cars now at how diminutive, elegant and clean they appear next to the current F1 cars with their plethora of aerodynamic accoutrements sprouting from the chassis like weeds. Perhaps mirroring contemporary road cars as well.

Probably ran out of smoke in the harness. It's kind of weird having open wheelers line up with sports racers and Group S
Ordinary qualifying effort, lots of slower cars out of order then at my first chance of a clear lap I fuched the downshift at the final turn. 2 more laps with traffic, so I've ended up in 7th. I doubt I'll make it to the podium this afternoon.

I had only an OK race circulating behind the NOLA chev sports car. I've raced him before and got past, but it was hard work and today we had an oily track and I didn't have the motivation to hammer the car for a 4th place. So I short shifted and came in 5th. I had planned on not running tomorrow so that's it until Phillip Island in March.
Good effort Ian given you had a few niggles with the car, It’s a shame I looked forward to seeing it run today, all the best for next year’s racing

A good bit of fun, Ian. I might come down to PI as a Driving Standards Observer, in case you need a few tips
I could live with the M10B, although it would certainly exceed my driving ability. Whom knows what it's worth? Something just looks very menacing about a lump of bent eight street iron hanging out the back with some folded and riveted 16 gauge aluminium around the pedal box to protect your feet..............
