No I believe they just stopped filming a month or so ago. I thought I read that somewhere but now it's editing and promotions time
This is why I’m not as stoked as most people about the coming Ferrari movie. Hollywood biographical dramatizations are usually laughable to viewers who are knowledgeable about the subject. Dramatizations are usually much better.
At least the Ferrari movie was well researched, Michael Mann is a serious director. This Lamborghini fiasco has the actor leaning on a 250 California Spider on its poster. It's laughable. Image Unavailable, Please Login
So why would they use a (possibly fake) Ferrari on the poster of a movie called Lamborghini? Yes, I know the connection but the general public won’t.
perhaps they didnt know... btw, if i recall, the car that lamborghini bought and had issues with and was complaining to Enzo about, was a 2+2 gt coupe of some sort.....not a california.....
It was white and I think a 2+2 250. I do believe the car is in the UK with Iain Tyrrell for a restoration. He's a well known Lambo guy, and as the car did belong to Ferruccio.
Informative vid about the movie. However Hollywood is known to spice things up, they even did it with House of Gucci.
Is this currently streaming?? I googled but cant seem to find how to watch it in australia, i must admit i am getting older and technology blows over me sometimes...
We rented this via iTunes earlier this week and it was terrible, as predicted: really bad acting, terrible accents/dialogue/writing, jumpy plot with a lot of meaningless fluff, and questionable technical details (including selection of cars). I can’t really speak for the historical accuracy of the story line, but it seemed that they were aiming for another “Ford vs Ferrari” (great movie IMO) but failed miserably. My sugg: don’t waste the $6 or the 2 hours to watch it.
I love how proper they are in the UK. Ahm, they took some "artistic license", yeah Ian over here we call that "bull****". Lol
My feelings too. I was writing this and realized it sounds just like your post but I'll leave it here anyway. ...Last night I bought it on Prime vs. renting because I thought I might want to watch more than once. Well, I can assure you I won't be. In a word, awful. The acting is C- at best (being generous here). The accents go in and out, and it just feels like a poor attempt at everything. Enzo's character didn't sound the least bit Italian. There were no racing scenes to speak of and no other real action. I wouldn't watch it again if they gave me a refund.
Watched the movie a couple days ago. Ah, 1947... when 356s and 300SLs were already racing in Italy... But what really rustled my jimmies was the Ferrari outdoor poster saying "When you want to be somebody" - I'm pretty sure there was one just like that back in 1960s Maranello, together with the wrong-nosed 4675GT crappy photoshop
We Watched the New Lamborghini Movie. Here's Why You Shouldn't 'Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend' is a total mess. https://www.caranddriver.com/features/a42155783/lamborghini-the-man-behind-the-legend-movie-review/
If this movie is as accurate as Ford vs Ferrari, Lamborghini adapted a broken diesel lawn mower engine and put it into the back of a Miura with this own two hands while partying all night with 2 Go Go dancers from Paris.
